Melanie stood frozen she couldn't believe how fate's a playing trick with her today. She must be one of those unlucky people she thought as she stood staring at the man she hoped she never have to see again. Someone jabbed her and she turned to see Lauren had stepped in the room with her also. Her friend motions her head to her. Melanie looked at her confuse until a voice spoke.

"Ms. Williams, your father told me he was sending you. It's nice to meet you." Mark said. Her father had given her his name. She felt glad that it wasn't the Jerk she had to talk to.

Turning to Mark she smiled at him. "Nice to meet you like wise." She said. Mark was really good looking, with his brown hair slick backwards and in his white gray suite. "This is my friend Lauren." She introduces her friend.

"Charm to meet you," He reply smiling at Lauren, Mel swear she detected a glint in his eyes as he looks upon her friend. "This is my friend Nathan." He said gesturing to the man beside him.

Nathan strolled forward a smirk on his face. He turned to Lauren. "Nice to meet you." He said to her friend. He then turned his attention to Melanie. "I see you decided to take me up on my offer."

Melanie scoffed unlady like and her friend gives her a questioning look. Mark also had a questioning look on his face as he spoke. "Do you two know each other?" he asked.

"Hardly," Melanie spoke up before Nathan had a chance. "We only had a brief running into." she explains. Lauren gasped beside her and shot her a knowing look. "My father said you have some paintings for him." She inquires changing the subject. She couldn't help but feel his eyes on her and she felt uncomfortable.

"Yes I do, Nathan here painted them just give me a second so I can wrap them up for you." Mark said.

"You painted?" She asked with a raise eye brow. She couldn't help it. She'd notice some really wonderful painting outside and wonder if he'd paint any. She wonders what his last name is because she'd notice some paintings with the beginning of N initials.

Nathan smiled at her, "Yes." He answered.

Lauren jog her and she look at her friend. "Is that him?" she whisper asked. Mel nodded her head before turning back to man in front of her.

"Thank you so much for saving my friend life. I'm so happy, don't know what I would done if I lose her." Lauren suddenly said. Mel could have die right there and done.

Nathan looked stun at her outburst but he quickly burst it off saying. "All in a day's work." He smiled his gaze on Melanie the whole time.

Mark returned in time before Mel could do something she would regret. He smiled at her as he handed her the warped paintings. "Hope your father like these new ones they're great if you asks me."

Melanie briefly smiled. "I'm sure he would. Thank you Mark." She said.

'You're welcome Ms. Williams."

"Oh please call me Melanie." She said. "We better get going now."

"Yes, yes hope to see you both again." He said.

Melanie grabbed Lauren hand with her free one and led her out of the room. She stole one glance at Nathan before disappearing around the corridor. Reaching outside she stopped and glare up at her friend.

"What I was just, thanking him." She said forging an innocent look.

"You couldn't have kept your mouth shut can you?"

Lauren shrugged and Mel sighed in annoyance. "I don't know how I keep up with you." She said shaking her head.

Lauren throws her arm over Mel shoulder pulling her close. "It's because you love me." She cheered. Some people passed by eyeing both of them strangely. Mel quickly slides out from her.

"I'm beginning to think that I don't love you anymore." She stated.

Lauren faked a hurt look, her eyes wide and innocent like a little kid. "That's so mean to say I feel hurt." She pouted.

Mel smiled at her friend pouted face. She then pulled her into a hug. "You know I'll always love you." She said pulling back. Lauren smiles and nod her head right as a taxi pulled up in front of them and both girls got in....
