Part 9//to the jungle

Nova

It was now pack up on New Years day. Last year had been a long year, coming back to Bondi after a year and having massive amounts of rescues along with a a couple of resuscitations. It was now the start of a new year. New year, new-ish me. I was just in the tower with Whippet. Whippet had now become one of my Best Friends along with Jesse, Maxi and Harrison. "Nova and Whippet can you come into my office" Hoppo's voice came from the door. I get looks from Troy, Jesse and Chappo. I look at whip and walk over to Hoppo's office. "you not in trouble you 2 unless you take this offer, then the boys will dig into you" Hoppo tells us as our faces properly looked scared. We sat down in the chairs and waited for Hoppo to tell us what was going on. "So I got a phone call today from a TV show on the ten network. They asked me if they could ''borrow'' 2 lifeguards for a show. So I asked them what the lifeguards would do and I thought It would be great if you two could go be on I'M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE, so what do you guys think about going on it" Hoppo looks over at Whippet and me. "Hell yes, that would be so much fun" I tell Hoppo looking over at Whippet. "why not, I was on home and away" Whippet gives his answers and we both look at Hoppo. "thats great I'll call them back and say that you're in, they will give you a call and email about everything, go tell the boys" I turn to Whippet and we walk out. we get out and start jumping up and down really excited. "how are we going to tell the boys?" I ask. "just run in and scream, I'M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE, I know they all watch it, we watched while you were away." Whippet explains to me. we walk up to the door and open it (like you do with doors) and "3, 2, 1" Whippet says and we run up screaming. "I'M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE" the looks from the boys were priceless. they thought we lost our minds. "Why in hell are you running into the tower screaming" Chappo asks. "Guess who's going to the jungle" I yell at the boys that still have eardrums. a round of congrats went around the room. this is going to be something.

******LAZY ASS TIME SKIP*****

Today is the day, the 13th of January. the day me and Whippet say goodbye to the boys before we catch a plane to Africa. Jesse, Maxi and Harrison begged us to let them drive to the airport. we get to the airport and the first thing Maxi did was hug me and didn't let go for a solid minute, "bye Maxi, it won't be long till you see me on TV getting murdered" I tell him as he lets go, I had to run away from him before he could grab me. "we will all miss you, don't get eaten by a lion and make Bondi proud" Jesse tells be as we have one last hug. "Don't die and give Whip a run for his money, I've got 50 bucks on him leaving first so don't disappoint me" Harrison tells me and I try not to die of laughter. The others look at us like I'm crazy, we are saying goodbye before a traumatic experience and I'm laughing. "who'ed you bet on" I ask Maxi and Jesse. they turn there heads. "I've got 20 on whip and 50 on you" wow people have very mixed opinions on us, I thought Jesse would have more hope in me but I guess not. "I've got 100 on Whip and 70 on Nova", "Okay Maxi, hope you can buy food after that" Whippet replies laughing with me. We give the others one last hug before we grab our bags and head into the airport. I login on the Bondi Rescue instagram account and post on the story: Wish us luck 🤪.

Whippet could tell I was scared. On the way to Africa I was told I am the youngest ever contestant to compete in this show. Whip grabbed my hand and rubbed circles on it. "You will be fine ok" he reassures me. We were told that the boys had to wear suits and girls had to wear dresses or jump-suits. But like normal I got an exception since I was only 17 they let me wear something comfy before we got into our jungle outfits. (picture at the start is what she is wearing). We get out of the buggy and see lots of cameras. Just like at Bondi we were told not to notice them. We start walking down a track that had trees everywhere. At one part of the track there were no cameras. Whip turned to me, "I promise nothing bad will happen to you, remember why you're here and make the boys at home proud okay Nova." I just hug Whip in a bear hug. He was right I was here for my charity. We continue walking and it hits me that the boys at home are probably  all at one of there houses crowding around the TV waiting for us to be seen for the first time. we see an opening at the end of the track and hear people talking. we walk out of the bushes to see about 7 people standing around. "HI" a girl walked up to me and gave me a big hug. "Hi I'm Nova" I say to her. Both me and Whip went around and said hi. The other celebs were Ajay, Dermott, Justine, Luke, Richard, Sam and Tahir. Apparently there is one more celeb. I was talking to Ajay and Justine when we hear someone walking up to this house. I walk up to the boy who had walked out of the bushes. "hey I'm Justin" he introduces himself, "Nova" I reply. I walk back over to Whip. "Don't let me forget Maxi won't eat if I leave first" I whisper to Whippet. Let get this started.
