Attempt 3 of 7Natasha took one last look at herself in the mirror. The night before she had straightened her blonde hair, it was almost touching her shoulders, now it was a tangled and gnarled mess. The post effects of after sex illuminated her face with a glow she didn't realize she still had. Her lips she colored with red lipstick had faded, it's eye catching color was mere memory of what it had been last night. Her simple black, yet elegant dress that hugged her body was wrinkled and ruffled. Her date was not the greatest at undressing anyone, but that's what made it exciting. Of course with her dress, she had to have a little fun in showing some cleavage. She had known it would drive her date crazy, along with the looks from the other guys they would encounter that night.
And she had been right.
His possessive side was not something she saw often with him, but when he got possessive, the things it did to her clouded her vision with lust and desire for him. Natasha was never one to swoon over a man, especially when it came to defending and protecting herself, but he was the only exception. The look in his eyes, she'd seen it one other time and that was enough for her. Enough to set her over the edge, enough to make her want to do that to him more. The idea of her being the center of someone else's world, the sole thing they wanted, that they had to have in order to stay happy, was everything Natasha had always longed for. She hated to admit it, but the sense and wish to feel important in someone's life had always lingered in the back of her mind.
All of this, all of those emotions she had seen and that she had felt was in that one look in his eyes. He was not a possessive man, quite the opposite actually, but that one time when she had seen it was the awakening. The reality that someone could love her, really love her was more than she could handle, she tried to push him away but he had resisted. And Natasha thanked God that he had the courage to stand up to her and force her to break down her walls for him after their talk about her past a few months after Bruce had left...
He grabbed Natasha by her shoulders and pushed her against the wall, her back jerking at the impact between the wall, her, and the furious blue eyed man glowering down at her.
"Rogers, you're crossing a line." Natasha warned, narrowing her eyes at him. She'd kept her distance from him since she'd kissed him...a second time. But it was a mistake, she was in no control of herself and three days ago she had went for it. She'd kissed him, in the training room, beside the punching bags, about four steps away from the ring in the middle of the training room. She was an idiot, she'd gotten too caught up in the moment to think straight and the next thing she knew, she'd kissed him.
"You crossed that line the second you started avoiding me Nat, three days ago." His voice was deep, annoyance tainted his words.
Natasha didn't break eye contact, she was not going to back down that easy. She was the black widow for heaven's sake, she wasn't afraid of anything. "Look, neither one of us was thinking straight, I know I wasn't. Let's just forget it ever happened ok?" She hissed, glaring deep into his raging, oceanic eyes.
Steve shoved her back into the wall again, the look on her face seemed to say 'just try me Rogers, you and I both know we like playing with each other like this.' That look she gave Steve was sexy as hell and it took everything inside him not to kiss her again like they had done in the training room three days ago. He hadn't kissed her since they'd run off to find Bucky, he would be lying if he said that, that kiss had not constantly been on replay in his mind every time he was alone with Natasha.
"Why? Why have you been avoiding me for the last few days?" He demanded in a low undertone.
"That's not important, now get off me Steve." Natasha threatened but made no effort to push him away. She seemed to be drawn to him like a magnet, the heat radiating off his body was driving her absolutely crazy. She didn't want to feel like this, this wasn't her at all but yet she couldn't seem to stop herself from falling. He was different, he'd stayed when she told him to go, he stayed when she had told him the whole story about who she was and where she came from. Steve hadn't cared, if anything they grew closer because of their talk the other night. So why had she pushed him away?
