We made it to New York in a matter of hours after we visited Noah in the hospital. He was set to come home soon and I could tell that made Dallas extremely happy. Taking this trip was probably best because we needed to get away.
"So where will we stay?" Dallas asked me as we got onto the streets of New York and I looked around and smiled. It felt so good to be home and I just felt refreshed in a way.
"Well we'll stay at my uncles house he's hardly ever home and I'm sure he wont mind" I told him as I began walking. Dallas struggled to keep up as people bumped into him and he got a bit frustrated.
"And we're going to walk?" he asked once I came to a stand still and I laughed.
"God no we're going to take a taxi" I told him and with that I blew making the loudest whistle sound I could and waved a on coming taxi down. When it stopped I tossed our bags into the trunk and settled in as did Dallas.
"28th and 7th street please" I said to the driver and we took of moments after. I leaned against Dallas and he wrapped his arms around me and took a deep breath.
"I know your worried of what will come of this but don't, It'll all be alright" I whispered in Dallas's ear and he smiled and looked out the window with no response. I wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing but I took it as neither. When we arrived at my uncles house I saw no car so I knew he wasn't home. I payed the driver and Dallas got our bags and headed to the door. I grabbed the extra key from under the mat and unlocked the door going inside.
What we found was nothing short of a surpise.
