Prologue

He was leaving for good now. His High School time was over and now he'd be pretty independent like he always wanted to be.

"My poor baby!" his mother cried quietly. Her son would always be her little boy. Nick sighed and hugged her tight. He would miss her undoubtedly but she had to let him go now. He had to start his own life. It wasn't like he'd never call or visit his family anymore. He had his little sister here. And he would never ever leave her. Besides, his college was only about three hours away.

"Honey, step aside. I need to say goodbye to my son, too!" his father said amused. He was kind of shocked how time flew by. It felt like just yesterday his son got out of Junior High and now he was attending College. What happened? He smiled warmly at his son and gave him a hug. His boy was now old enough to take care of himself. And he knew Nick would do great. So he wasn't worried about that. Just his dear wife made his smile falter. She would take his absence hard. And of course his little princess, too. Amy stood next to there garden gate, hugging her monstrous teddy bear which Nick won for her on a fair last year. It was her favourite toy since then. She had tears in her eyes and Nick's father was sure that his little girl didn't really understand what was happening. So he patted his son's back one last time before letting go of him. He lifted Amy up and placed her on his his hip

"Say good bye to Nick, princess" he said and wiped a tear that had escaped her big blue eyes from her chubby cheek.

"Will you come home again?" Amy asked and stared at her brother intently. Nick just laughed. Oh, how he would miss her.

"Of course, baby girl!" he took her out of his fathers arms and she instantly wrapped her little legs around his waist. Why did her brother have to go now? She'd need him for her homework!

"Do you want to stay at my new place next weekend?" He asked her and she nodded excitedly. But then she remembered her parents. Would they agree, too? She wanted to have a sleepover with her brother so badly! She would bring her teddy bear and the three of them would have so much fun!

"Can I?" she asked over her shoulder and looked pleadingly at her dad because he was the weakest one in their family. Nick followed closely and then lastly came his mum. She was able to resist their little girl better than anyone else. Though that wasn't often either.

"Yes, you can Amy. But only for the weekend, okay?" And Amy nodded again.

"I have to leave now, beautiful. But I'll come get you on friday at ten, yeah?" Nick said and kissed both her cheeks and forehead.

"Okay" she agreed and pulled him closer to hug him properly. Then she jumped out of his arms and ran back to her father who lifted her up again.

Nick got in his car and honked twice as he drove down the road. His family waved after him till they couldn't see him anymore.

Now he could start his own life and live it smoothly.

Or so he thought.

Little did he know that someone would rock his world.
