~*~*~*~
Six days after moving to Doncaster, and I think it's safe to say that I'm settled in.
I'm pretty proud of my decorating skills when it comes to my new room. The four walls were a pretty shade of vivid purple when we moved in, so I didn't even bother with that, purple is the greatest color. The large bed spread is purple and black zebra print; coordinating the color choice, the light fixture is a chandelier with see-through purple and black circles hanging from it.
My black desk is in the corner, and next to it is my own -as I like to call it- Narnia. The window treatments are purple zebra print along with lots of other zebra decor.
Basically, my room is exactly like my old one in Seattle, but this time, bigger.
"What am I s'posed to do when the best part of me was always you? What am I s'posed to say, when I'm all choked up and you're okay?" My voice blares out along with my iPod along to the song Breakeven. Classic song, and my all time favorite.
"I'm falling to pieces! Yeah! I'm falling to pieces!" I sing along to the end of the chorus when suddenly, my door flies open, revealing none other than Sophia.
Flipping the stereo down, I turn my head to face the six-year-old. "Knock much?" I ask, my face blank.
"I just met the neighbors!" Sophia squeals, jumping up and down which causes her brown locks to bounce all over the place, her brown eyes shining.
"Okay?" I chuckle, shrugging. "How exactly is this a big deal?" I ask her.
"Um, well, the neighbors have four daughters and two of them are twins that are my age!" She chirps excitedly.
"Well that's cool." I respond awkwardly after a moment's pause.
Sophia sighs and rolls her eyes, sassy for a six-year-old. "I want you to come meet them!" She replies happily, grabbing my wrist forcefully, pulling me out of my room and down to the main level of the house.
"Sophia, chill." I say in a bored tone.
"No! You don't get it, they're awesome!" Sophia responds excitedly, whipping the door open and dragging me out the front door, across the lawn, and over to the house next door.
"Nikki, this is Charlotte." Sophia introduced us while gesturing to the one I assumed to be the oldest.
"Hi. Just call me Lottie." Charlotte says, smiling at me.
"Sure thing, yeah my name is Nicolet, but you can call me Nikki." I say to Charlotte.
"Cool name." Charlotte grins cocking her head to a bit of a tilt as if to mock wonder.
I'm a bit confused, "What, Nikki? Oh, I thought it's a pretty common-"
"No, I mean Nicolet." Charlotte confirms, chuckling.
"Oh! Well in that case, a-thank you very much." I say in a voice as if to imitate Elvis Presley while bowing.
The girls giggle a bit before Sophia moves on to intoduce me to the rest of them.
"Okay, this is Fizzy." Sophia continued, gesturing to the next two girls.
"Fizzy?" I ask confused as to what kind of a name Fizzy is. 'I'm pretty sure that that's what they call sodas around here...'
"Yeah, that's my nickname, my real name is Felicite." Fizzy smiles, shrugging,
"Well that makes sense." I say smiling. "I like that name; Felicite."
