Our story begins with a man, brown unkempt hair, black balaclava covering his face, a hoodie the color of honey on him, and sky blue jeans with kneepads and black combat boots. He's shaking, and can barely breath in his cramped, barely lit pod. He has nothing but a backpack besides his clothes. Suddenly, the doors start pulsing with a red, ominous light, and a mechanical whirring that's getting louder and more higher pitched.
wwwwwwwrrrRrrRRrrRRrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRWRRRRRRRRR-
"Begin!" A sadistically cheerful voice rings out among the pods.
The doors open, and the man sees a lush, tropical jungle in front of him, and a small compound to his north. He enters the compund, and sees lockers upon lockers in front of him. He searches through and finds a slip of paper, a walkie-talkie-esque device with a screen, and a tanto knife. He reads the paper, "Hello Contestant, Welcome to The Culling™! This made-for-TV event pits you and 15 other contestants against each other in a fight to be the last one alive! With this free care package, you will find this paper and one low tier weapon. This paper entitles you to the following: Perks- Backpacker (Already given), Load Dropper (P.A.D.s arrive instantly) and Runs with Blades (Storehouse Func will boost your speed if you're holding a bladed weapon) Airdrop: Ninja (One katana, 1 set of caltrops, and 2 smoke grenades) Cost: 135 Func. Good luck, and happy killing!
-C.H.A.S. (The Announcer) P.S. Everyone is out to get you, so kill them first!
The man finishes reading and throws the paper away. He then checks the remaining lockers and finds a hammer, brass knuckles, and a pink syringe full of dangerous looking liquid. The man reads the label on the syringe: Hemo Drip! For those wounds you want a little bit longer to look at. Regenerates wounds from combat or stupidity!
The instructions were simple enough, so he kept the syringe. Suddenly, he heard footsteps from outside. A door behind him opens, and the man turns around to see another contestant with a sharp rock wedged into a stick, wielding the stone-age contraption like a spear.
Our hero raises his knife in defense as the spear-wielder charges at him. The spear-wielder tries to skewer our hero, but he blocks in time, staggering the spear-wielder. The knife wielder slashes twice at the spear wielder, causing a bit of bleeding and a lot of pain. The Spear Wielder charges up again, causing our hero to block. But then, the spear wielder shoves our hero, staggering the hero! Spear guy then stabs Hero in the arm, causing a good bit of damage. Hero then charges at attack of his own, and Spear Guy can't block in time. A deep gash forms across spear guy's chest as the knife rips through him, causing severe damage.
Spear guy tries desperately to attack one more time, but Hero is too quick. Hero moves behind Spear Guy and stabs him in the back. Spear guy siezes up, shakes, and falls to the ground.
"Wow, that was stab-tacular! Might wanna clean that knife, you don't want to know what this guy had."
Hero then looked over the dead man's body as a wrist watch rang. Hero checks his watch and sees his Func was at 70. Hero then looks over the body and finds a roll of gauze and a survival knife with a serrated edge.
Hero departs from the compound and moves along a river to a massive, abandoned hanger. While exploring, he finds another medicine cabinet and opens it. Inside is a dark red syringe, similar to the Hemo Drip he had found earlier. Hero read the label: Med Kit! Heal all your wound with this slow-release concoction! Warning: Side effects may include God Complexes, A Lack of Self Worth, or Instant Death!
