I'm lost
No I'm not I'm on the path
It's the wrong path
I'm supposed to be traveling west not north
My mind was racing as I walked through the forest on what I figured was the wrong path.
That stupid bear, I was just passing through and it decided to chase me away from the path, and now I'm lost.
My dress caught on a tree root and I fell forward landing in a mud puddle.
I sat up and wiped my face with my sleeve.
Mental note, never again wear you best dress to wander through the forest.
Pulling my skirt off the tree root the material ripped. I growled to myself and started once again down the wrong path.
I stopped when I heard crunching of leaves in front of me. I peered around a tree and saw a goat. just a normal goat like the ones back home that are the size of a pony. I stepped out from behind the tree, the goats eyes went wild. I started running, the goat was close behind me. I was forced to stop when a bush blocked the path in front of me. the goat didn't stop, it butted me and I flew over the bush into another mud puddle. I slowly made my way out of the mud puddle and started off on the path once again.
I'm never going to get home at this rate.
The sun followed me all day and I needed to find water soon. suddenly the path ended.
"Great, now what?" I said out loud to myself.
I walked only thirty paces further and found myself at a solid rock wall.
Great now I'm at the dead mountains!
They were called the dead mountains for one reason, they were just solid rock. no life could live there, there was no water, not even moss grew on the rocks.
Suddenly ahead of me a man ran straight into the rock, and went through it. I ran to that spot and found a narrow cave.
I need to see where he's going.
I walked through the cave and found more solid rock until I spotted a stair case cut into the rock heading up the mountain.
I headed up the staircase until I was on the top of the mountain. I couldn't believe my eyes. the other side of the mountain was covered in a lush forest and green meadows.
I found the down staircase and headed for the forest.
Now on the ground I looked for the man I had seen. I didn't see a living soul but I did find fresh human footprints in a patch of dirt.
I looked around and found another patch of dirt not far away. there were more footprints on the surface. There was one set of human prints and a set of horse prints. I looked closer, they were fresh.
I need to find who ever left these prints.
I stepped off the path and started following the prints. after only about an hour I found the culprits.
I saw him, he was sleeping against a tree. he had chestnut colored hair, that was short but was long enough to almost cover his ears. speaking of his ears they were pointy, he was an elf. he wore a red tunic with a leather belt. next to him was a horse saddle with a bridle and reins, and a small brown bag. the horse was nowhere in sight.
Time to ask where I was.
I put my hand out to wake him up, but before I could touch him I heard a high pitch whistle.
What was that?
I looked to the left and saw a black spotted white horse standing nearby. it reared up on its hind legs and whinnied loudly. I backed away from the sleeping elf. the horse suddenly ran at me.
Oh no not three times in one day!
I turned around and ran for my life, but there wasn't far to run because there was a drop off right in front of me. I skidded to a stop but the horse was still coming. The drop off wasn't too high up, if I fell it wouldn't kill me, but it would still hurt me.
I heard a voice yell, "Peguiroch!" the horse put its ears back, it's light blue eyes were staring into my soul.
"Roch!" I heard the voice again
The horse bared its teeth and stepped forward. My foot slipped and I hit the edge with my thigh I felt a sharp pain in my leg as I slipped off the edge to the ground below.
So what did you think?
