Dear Journal.

Is it weird to have a crush on your magic instructor? Probably. But, Loki...you can't help but feel some sort of romantic pull towards him. I'm pretty sure even some of the straight guys do. Either it's his natural demeanour and good looks, or he's using a powerful spell to get us to like him. Anyway, Loki started teaching me and my brother, (Norse name) his magic after he saw us fight together, and survive, in the battle against Hela. I mean, we've been training together for about a thousand years, so we know each others fighting style pretty well.

I'm pretty sure Loki thinks of me as a friend, rather than a student, or just thinks I'm better than my brother, because when I mess up, he calmly instructs me through the motions until I get it right. But with my brother, Loki just shouts at him, saying things like

"Why can't you be as good as your sister" or something along those lines.

Sorry, got to go, Loki wants to meet with me for some reason. Wish me luck!

I put down my journal and stand up from my chair. I thank the messenger, and he walks away. 'I wonder what this could be about' I think to myself as I put on my shoes. This isn't the usual time for lessons. I walk out of my private chambers in the castle (thanks to Loki) and I walk right into an agitated Thor.

"Oops sorry, (Y/N), I didn't see you there..." He mumbled, obviously worried about something. He carried on down the corridor, wringing his hands. I ran to catch up with him.

"Hey, Thor! What's up?" I say to him. He hesitates. "You know you can tell me anything, right Thor? Your like a second brother to me." He smiled.

"It's...it's Loki..."

"What's wrong with him? He's just requested that I should join him on the north balcony..."

"Well, he's been quiet lately, like he is when he's planning something or things are going his way." Thor seemed better now that he'd shared his worries. "Could you try to get him to tell you about whatever he's thinking? Cause he's not talking to me."

"Ok... Sure" I agreed "I'll try."

When I got to the balcony, Loki was there, facing out towards the rest of Asgard. He was alone. My brother always got there first to try to get on Loki's good side.

'(Y/N), you have been really excelling in my lessons. I have been thinking about this a lot, but...' His hands tightened on the rail. I went over to him and put my hand on his back carefully.

'What is it?'

He turned his head towards me with his knowing smirk, and said 'I would like you to be my...sidekick of sorts.'

'Loki...of course!' I said, a smile cracking over my lips.

'Oh thank Odin...' he sighed 'I thought you'd say no...'

'I would never...' I turned away from him and stared out over Asgard, feeling him flash a warm smile over me. We stayed like that until a messenger told us it was time for dinner.
