"Day three, Wednesday morning. Clinical checkup. I asked the nurse how your heart was doing. She said it beats faster than most of ours."

Jane lays a hand on her chest, most definitely trying to get a feel on her heart.

"The nurse said that you said you didn't have to run to the clinic, and that you weren't feeling nervous. It leads closer to the possibility that..."

I press the button again and another diagram of a heart fades in.

"... you have two hearts beating inside you."

I take a deep inhale, something I needed since I started, before going on. I pressed a button to show a picture of Facebook and Twitter.

"Day three, lunch break. I realized that everyone has social media these days, so I rushed to the library to find Elle and Rodrick who took the initiative to look through your Facebook and Twitter."

Spacebar. The slide now shows a collage of Jane's tweets about being sent to a hospital or the ER.

"By the way, your followers? None of them's our classmates. Must be why only a few knows."

I clear my throat as Jane takes a swig from her drinking bottle.

"Notice that almost every three to five days since the last two months, you're being sent to the hospital for some reason. Look at the dates you tweeted."

A majority of the students from the back moved forward, perhaps to read her tweets or to look at the dates.

"This morning, I asked everyone, you included," I gestured to Jane, "if you have any form of illness. We have asthma and a heart condition but you kept your hand down. You waived your right."

Jane coughs. Now I'm worried that something could be wrong with Jane, or she's pretending to be sick so as to gain empathy from someone in the room.

"We could only assume now that it's because of something about you being pregnant."

Jane doesn't deny nor agree to that statement. Doesn't blink as well.

"Ultrasound maybe? Sounds expensive. Must be why the need for money."

Click. *Deadline*

"Day three still, past noon. Miss Doll gave the thief a deadline, which is Friday. Today."

Everyone was still wide-eyed. I hope their minds aren't off to nowhere.

"For some reason, we thought that the phone will be returned yesterday. We've been right so far. Here's why."
