"His lips were cool against mine despite the rising heat between us. Oooooohhhhhh I love it!" My best friend said rolling over on her back.
"You're such a romantic Kris!" I say and roll my eyes. Knowing her I knew whatever came out of her mouth next would be her version of Shakespeare.
"Oh but how can thy not when reading the great writings of the one they call Victoria Winter." She said being dramatic and cluching her heart. We both start laughing so hard we roll off my bed and on to my carpeted floor with a thud. Causing us to laugh even more. We laugh so hard for a long few minutes to the point that my sides hurt and I can hardly breathe. When our laughs subside she says frowning
"I hate that you leave for LA tomorrow and I don't get to see you till Christmas."
"I know," I say and pause for a second "but after Rylee last year I-I can't stand it an-anymore." I sputtered
"I know. What she did sucked." She said heaving in a sigh then we both wander off in our brains remembering the shit she pulled. I am not going to let her ruin my senior year.
"I'm just gonna miss you while you're off with your sister and her amaze husband and that dude that lives with them meeting famous people while I'm stuck here in New York with all these shitty city people like Rylee." That night we stayed up all night just talking and playing games. I only got like forty five minutes of sleep before it was 4:30 in the morning and my alarm went off shattering my hopes of more sleep.

At the airport I say good bye to my mom, dad, little brother Kade who is fifteen, Kris, and Kris' parents Chad and Amy who are like my second parents. The plane flight wasn't that bad because luckily I sat next to next to a girl that was like nineteen. Since I am eighteen we got along pretty well. We soon found out we have a lot in common. Me and Cassie the girl I sat next to talked throughout the flight until we both crashed from lack of sleep. Just before I had to be in my seat ready for the landing I freshened up because I slept a lot of the flight. Also I just felt gross. I pick up my bags at the baggage claim then I texted Ravi my sister Alyssa's boyfriend.

I walk out the east side entrance and sit on my suit case and look at my phone. Ravi pulls up to the curb moments later. He jumps out of the car and runs over to me he tightly embraces me.
"Ugh I missed you so much!" He said stepping back a bit and picking up my bags.
"Couldn't live without your annoying little sister in law!" I said with a smirk. I here him chuckle as he put my things in the trunk and I hop in.Shutting his door he says
"You and I both know you're not just my sister in law." And he is right we hung out before he and my sister even knew each other. We had established a brother sister relationship before they ever got together. After he and my sister got married and moved all the way across the country we didn't lose touch. In fact we often talked just me and him. On the drive to their beach side house we talked a lot just catching up on life. When Ravi parks in the driveway he flings me the keys at me and points to the front door and says
"GO GO!" A smile spreads all across my face as I run up unlock the door and run in. I find Alyssa in the kitchen sitting on a bar stool on her laptop. When she hears me run in she looks up and jumps off the stool and runs over to me. She hugs me super tightly.Too tightly.
"We have so much to catch up on." I choke out.
"Yeah!"she says letting go of me. Then I see him. I don't know who I guess the guy that lives with them. All I know is he is hot!" Infact that is what I was thinking when I realized that he was staring at me too. Alyssa must've followed my gaze because then she is gesturing to him saying.
"This is Jaeden our friend I told you about," then gesturing to me she says to Jaeden "this is Victoria my younger sister."
"Nice to meet you!" He said with an adorable grin
"You too!" I say and return his grin with a nervous smile. I think to myself I know I've seen this adorable dimpled face. Then we just stand there not knowing what to say. Then Ravi who I didn't know was there said
"Vicky if you'll come with me I'll show you your room."
"Ravi actually I need your help with something." Ravi sets down my bags that had just picked up and gave Alyssa a confused look. I walk over to Ravi and pick up my bags. Alyssa says
"Josh will you give her a tour and take her to her room?" I think I see Josh's face brighten when he looks up from the floor.
"Of course!" He says and walks over to me. Josh takes my bags out of my hands.
"You don't have to carry my bags I can get them." I say and reach for his hands but he waves me off and adds
"I've got it." Then I think to myself what a gentleman. As he leads down a hallway to that leads to a staircase that leads down stairs. "You'll sleep down stairs with me. Their basement is practically a apartment." Then I think to myself "with you?!" Then he
chuckles and says
"You'll have your own room I should've clarified."
"Sorry I wasn't thinking."
"It's cool." I just know my face is as red as a tomato. We get to the bottom of the staircase and I look around
"Wow!" I say impressed
"You like it?" He asks looking back at me.
"Are you kidding me this is amazing!"
"I decorated myself! Come with me." he set down my bags and took my hand in his. His hand was warm but not hot, gentleman but not unmasculine. We just stood there for a few seconds then he said
"Let's start that tour !"

Jaeden's POV
Alyssa made dinner for all of us, Victoria's favorite apparently. Me and Victoria clicked immediately so we decided to watch a movie after dinner. Horror of course!It's the easiest way to get a girl to jump into your arms. This girl is ho.. What the fuck are you doing Jaeden get your head outta your ass!!! As soon as we could we ran down stairs I popped the popcorn and Victoria got the movie ready. We choose to watch IT. Considering I played Bill I knew would figure out who I was sooner than I really want.
"Hey Vicks can you get us drinks?"
"Sure." She said getting in the fridge
"Vicks?" She said with a questioning look as I turned around from the counter.
"Uhh yeah I-I just th-thought.." I stuttered. DAM why was I so nervous.
"No it's cool I like it!" She said before I could say another word.
"I uh I'm glad you like it." I said with a nervous glance with a small smile. She stepped toward me a few paces. Then she stepped back as if losing curage. We went in to the living room with our drinks and pop corn and started the movie. Like three seconds in she is like

she sat back down legs folded under her. After the movie was over Vicks was laying her back against my chest and her head in my lap asleep. I contemplate letting her sleep on the couch so I wouldn't wake her up but then I decide to pick her up and.carry her to her room not wanting to be uncomfortable. So I lift her off me so I can get up then I picked her up bridal style. I had just gotten out of the living room when she woke in my arms and I set her down on the floor.
"Okay you can walk the rest of the way now." I said jokingly.
"Noooo I'm tired." She complained
"You should have stayed asleep." I said crossing my arms
"Can you please just carry me." She whined and gave me puppy dog eyes
"Nah." I said softly
"Pleaseeeee I'll love you forever!" She said putting her arms in the air for me to pick her up.
"okay."I reply gently stroking her hair then I pick her up bridal style again. Dam what is wrong with me! Stroking her hair?!
"You know I wasn't gonna leave you there?" I asked carrying her to her room.
"I know." She says as I lay her down on her bed. I tuck her in and gives her a hug
"Good night Vicks." I whisper
"Good night Jae." I hear her say before I close her door. After.that I got in the.living room and cleaning everything up and put things away. Not that there was that much to do. Then I go to bed not that I can sleep. All I can do Is. think about her. How beautiful she is, how her smile could make anyone happy no matter what, how she jumped to me at only three of the jump scares i chuckle to myself.
