I hadn't been to school for 1 year, partially because of my parents' laziness, but also because there was not space in any of the schools in the area. But today was the day, the day to restart. New school, new area, I didn't know about new friends. Since this school had a 'no uniform' policy, it was a bit of and upgrade from my old school. I thought about my old school every day since I had left. Thought about Lisa, Tom. I shook away these thoughts, which some how made me feel guilty. I wanted to make a good first impression so I wore casual jeans and t shirt along v with a pink backpack. I also wore casual make up
I felt really good about myself, of course that changed as soon as I arrived.
I got off the bus and walked up to the school gates. 'Whaaat!' My inner thoughts seemed to become outer as everyone was pointing in my direction and sniggering. I picked up my jaw and thought to my self, 'How did I, me, Pandora, get a place in such a nice school.' I flattened out the invisible creases from my jeans and proudly walked into the building. The first thing I heard was the shriek of what seemed to be a metal detector. I covered my ears as the security lady quickly yanked me through. She could tell that I was new as I clearly didn't know the rules. She made me hand over all my metal items. 'They do this, at a high school?' It was almost as if the security lady could read my mind as she said, "Yep, they do this at a high school. Security reasons you see?" I nodded nervously and took off my jewlery, my anklet, my rings, my earings but I hesitated to take of my necklace. It was the only memory and gift I had left of Tom, but I handed it over. I also had to give up my water bottle and my ruler.

After I had gotten throught the airport security section of the school, I walked along the corridors quickly scimming and scanning the door numbers in an attempt to find my home room. I was extremely lost, this school was huge! It must have been at least 3x as big as my old school. I tried to ask some one for help but all they did was laugh and roll their eyes at me. I saw how their wrists were riddled with expensive jewlery and watches and how their feet were wrapped in Balinciagas, the ones that look like socks. And were laced in the expensive Adidas and Nike trainers. I could only touch them let alone own them in my dreams. I felt very embarrassed and poor against all the kids. How did I get a space here?

I finally found my home room, just in time. The bells rung as soon as I stepped foot into the room. I was waiting for everyone to burst out into a fit of laughter; but what's worse is that I was met with stiffled giggles. The teacher told everyone to stop but it was as if she wanted to join her students. I was told to introduce myself and did so, "Hi everyone, I'm Y/N and I'm going to be joining your home room from now till 10th grade." I heard multiple voices mumbling, " Well, duh," and, "Why else would you be here?" I felt a wash of embarrassment pour over me. I quietly aked the teacher where should I sit and she pointed right at the back. "Go and sit next to Jimin."
He casualy raised his hands and signalled for me to come over. "Come here, honey." That instant, I knew that he was a playboy. Who else would call a random girl 'honey.' I rolled my eyes, walked over and threw my bag on the floor and slumped down into my chair. "Ohh, a girl with attitude, I like that." He said with an annoying smirk painted on his face.
"Ohh, a boy with idiocy, what's new?" Everyone burst out laughing, it was obvious just by his facial expression that no one had dared challenge him before. I pulled the same smirk he did and it was his turn to roll his eyes. After the register had been done, and morning activities were over, we all dispersed into the depths of the corridors. I looked at my schedule, first I had science. I sat next to Jimin at the back as it was the only free seat. Next I had maths, it was the same seating arrangement. I was curious as to why I had to sit next to Jimin in most of my lessons so I gathered up the courage to ask him. "How come I sit next to you in all of our lessons together?" He looked at me with that classic playboy look. "Because you just couldn't resist me apparently." He lightly chuckled at his own words but he could sense that I was annoyed so he gave the genuine answer. "Well, if you really want to know... The girl who used to sit here, she was a bit like you. Like she was running a little low on cash and her Dad some how knew the Principal. But then, apparently, her Dad owed Principal Pierce some money or somthing like that and he couldn't repay him. So he just kicked her out, kind of sad if you ask me." He said whilst shrugging his shoulders. "Ohh," I said, wandering if my father could hae been involved in such businesses.
