"Pip..Pip wake up.."

"Huh.." The wind pounded against the walls of  the tent as Pip rubbed her eyes. Her tail fluffed up as she wearily looked up.

"Mimi? What's going on.."

"There's a storm outside!" Mimi had to shout over the howling wind.

"We're all gathering in my tent since it's the biggest so we're all safe!"

Pip stood, "Ok, I'm coming!"

The two girls hurried into shelter as they shook off from the rain.

"Shh..The others are already asleep."

Mimi showed Pip a small area that was by Luna and Ash were she could sleep.

"Mimi.." Pips ears drooped to show she was nervous.
"Do you think the storm will pass soon.."

Mimi smiled, "Don't worry, they never last long."

She laid down by Charlie as she quickly fell asleep.

Pip soon fell asleep after.

The next morning.

"We should probably wake up Pip."

Danny stood as he walked over to where Pip was sleeping.

He froze still.

"Er...guys.." He kneeled down by Pips head.

The others rushed over.

"What, what's wrong?"

Danny gulped.

"Look.."

Right under Pips gently shut eyes, a small perfectly shaped Fox snout had grown.

Mimi shrieked, "Aww so cute!!"
Charlie grinned, "Wow..just like a real Fox."
Jake blushed but tried to hide it.

Pip shuffled as she yawned.

"Uh-oh.." Luna quickly moved back.

"Guys she's waking up." Ash backed away.

The others stepped back as Pip opened her almond eyes.

"Oh." She smiled. "I must have overslept."
She tilted her head as Ash blushed.

"Pip." Jake stepped forward, but Mimi nudged him.

"Don't tell her.." She whispered.

"What, why?" Jake turned.

"We don't want to scare her."
Mimi glanced over.

"Yeah, your right." He turned back to Pip.

"So? What's up?"

Jake sniggered, "It's your turn to make breakfast!"

He showed her the berries that Luna had collected the day before.

Pip giggled. "I thought you'd say that!"

Jake smiled.

"I'll get some more water." He walked back down to the pond as Danny started his morning jog around the camp.

"Luna?" Charlie walked over to where Luna was standing.

"Oh hi Charlie. You ok?"

"Yeah, but could you tell me something."

"Sure what is it?"

Charlie looked up, "Why do you love looking at the stars so much?"

Luna's eyes sparkled as she burst into life.

"Well..come and sit down."

Charlie followed as he and Luna sat down on an old tree log as she told him stories of the world above their heads.

Ash pulled Mimi over.

"Are you sure we shouldn't tell her?"

Mimi sighed. "I don't know. Maybe we should wait and see if she notices."

"Ok but if she doesn't notice then someone has to tell her."

"Ok."
Mimi smiled.
"You seem like you want to tell her."

Ash stuttered.
"What! N-no..I just..don't want her to freak out if she does notice.."

A smug grin emerged across Mimi's cheeks.
"It's ok. Your secret's safe with me.."

She walked over to Pip to help with the berries.

Jake slowly walked back as he carried the water he'd collected for the camp mates.

"AHH!"

A branch had been tossed onto the ground from the storm but as Jake stepped over, his foot became caught as he thumped down onto the leaves.

Pips ears twitched as she jumped up,
"Jake!"

She ran over and knelt down as Jake tried to breathe through the pain. He was determined not to look weak in front of the others, especially Pip.

"Jake stay calm ok." Pip curled her tail round as she tried to help him.

Ash and Danny helped to lift his leg up as Mimi and Luna collected some leaves and twigs to wrap up his foot.

"Ahh.." Jake flinched as the two boys lifted his twisted foot.

Pip moved closer as she tried to talk to him, her voice appeared calm and reassuring as Jake puffed.

"Jake this is gonna hurt.." Ash stretched out Jake's leg as Luna and Mimi quickly made a support around his foot.

Jake grasped onto Pips hands as he yelled.

"There..all done.."

Pip stood, her tail had started to wag.
"If you guys carry him to his tent, I'll make sure he's ok."

"You sure? He can be stubborn." Danny looked up at Pip with slight concern.

"Don't worry." Pip smiled.
"I've known him long enough, I know how to deal with him."

"Hey! I can still hear you!"
Jake shuffled as he flinched.

"Alright alright." Ash and Danny carried Jake into his tent as he forced himself not to scream from the pain.

Charlie came over by Pip,
"Is he gonna be ok?"

Pip looked down, "Don't worry he'll be fine!"
Charlie smiled.

Pip walked over to the rest of the boys as she knelt down beside Jake.

"You sure you'll be ok?" Ash glanced at Pip.

Her ears fluffed up as she nodded,
"I promise."

Danny and Ash smiled as they left the two of them inside.
