Pokemon Let's Go-Trace x Elaine

Sky Dash

(WARNING: Spoilers for Pokemon Let's Go, including it's aftergame!) 

It was a very nice day in Kanto; sunny, but with some clouds so it doesn't get so hot. Elaine and her Eevee traveled to the Indigo League, as Lance had said he needed Elaine and Lorelei to investigate the Game Corner at Celadon City, because Team Rocket was apparently spotted there. But when Elaine and Eevee went into the secret room the Elite Four had for meetings, everyone but Lorelei was there. 

"Hi everyone! Uh, where's Lorelei?" Elaine asked, Eevee looking worried with Elaine. 

"She had a surprise trip to Sinnoh, because her mother is sick or something. But I guess she forgot to tell you, being the clumsy young woman she is." Agatha laughed, sipping some tea. 

"I wouldn't use 'clumsy' as a way to describe Lorelei, but yes, Elaine, Lorelei is in Sinnoh, because her mother is very ill right now, and lives by herself. But, we still need you to go on that mission, and I don't want you to do it alone in case anything really funny is going on over there, so, we decided to send Trace with you," Lance smiled. 

Elaine's heart sank when being told that. It's just that Elaine hadn't really seen Trace since she caught Mewtwo (Although Elaine did give Blaine Mewtwo to look after in secret because she figured he had something to do with his creation, but Elaine still checks on Mewtwo frequently) and Elaine feels like he's been avoiding her, especially since he felt kind of inferior when she took the Champion's seat from her. 

"R-really? Did he agree to help me?" Elaine could feel herself tensing up. 

"Yes. You two fought well together at Silph, so we thought this would be the best decision" Bruno said, stone-faced. 

"Hm, maybe you better be careful, falling for your rival.  Didn't work out too well for me!" Agatha laughed. 

"Ah, no, that's not what I-" 

Elaine was cut off by Trace entering the room. 

"Nice. This is the right room!" Trace smiles. "Hey Elaine!" 

"Hey. Long time no see," Elaine calmed down a bit more, knowing that at least he isn't mad at her. Well, at face value, that is. 

Lance smiled. "Well, you two should get going now, shouldn't you?" 

"Ehboy!!" Eevee said, hopping onto Elaine's shoulder. 

"Haha, well she's excited," Trace said as he walked out the door, Elaine following. 

When they got outside, Trace started to walk towards Victory Road to leave. 

"Trace, you know Eevee can fly, right? It's this move that she learned called 'Sky Dash'. It's super useful, and we could probably get to Celadon within 5 minutes," 

Trace turned. "Oh, really? I mean that's great, but I guess-well, I'm afraid of heights..." 

"That's ok, me and Eevee will be there, and she's a great driver. If you want, you can hold onto me-" Elaine stopped and grimaced to herself, realizing how weird that sounded. 

Trace actually blushed at this, making Elaine feel even weirder. "Uh, okay,"  

"Ehboy!" Eevee said, causing the both of them to look towards Eevee, who had already set everything up. Elaine sat behind Eevee, who was steering. When Trace sat down behind both of them, he held onto Elaine as they drifted off into the sky. 

"Ah, you don't really have to hold on- I don't wanna make this weird.." Elaine looked back at Trace, who was clenching his eyes shut. 

"It's fine, really. I don't mind, because it actually helps," Trace laughs. 

Elaine smiles. "But if you open them, you can see all of Kanto! It's actually really pretty." 

Trace slowly opened his eyes, seeing the open skies and several towns and people with their pokemon, having a nice spring day. He was surprised, and maybe a bit scared, but glad he opened his eyes.

(I'm sorry, but I gotta come up with some more stuff to happen, and I wanna release this one right now since there's barely any Trace x Elaine stuff! By the way, beware for more spoilers, melodramatic scenes, and maybe some mature scenes.)
