Challenge
About one week later, Rhian and the rest of the crew find themselves facing Commander June at one of the barracks training areas. With their injuries seemingly all gone, they try and attempt to complete the challenge Commander June recently gave them. Trying to land a single hit on her.
“Ok guys…..let’s get her. We can do this! Everyone ready?” Rhian said confidently.
“Yeah, yeah, just let me handle this Rhian. Try not to get in my way.” Kraf responded.
“Hazel, are you ready to go as well?” Rhian asked.
“Y-Yes. I’m all healed up and ready to go.” Hazel replied with assurance.
“Kraf...please try and not mess anything up this time.” Zephyr said with a worried tone.
“Zephyr, please stop acting like a two year old. Just sit back and let me do all the work.” Kraf said.
“With careful observation, it seems that your performance during “Escort and Transport” has gone to that immense head of yours. How troublesome.” Rayna stated.
“Listen up maggots! I have only one piece of information to say to you all. As you all are this very moment, none of you will be able to land a single blow! There is no synergy between any of you! That’s all there is to it!” Commander June shouted.
“Is she really serious?! Did she really just predict the outcome of the challenge by our small exchange of words? No way...that can’t be. She must be trying to psyche us out.”
Rhian thought to himself.
“Then...we will prove you wron-” Rhian said before he was interrupted.
“Ohhhhh! I can’t wait anymore! Commander June you're mine!” Kraf screamed as he rushed toward Commander June.
“Kraf wait!” Rhian yelled.
But it was too late Kraf had already had his mind set.
“Idiot…” Rayna said in a annoyed tone.
“Looks like we have no choice now...let’s go everyone.” Rhian stated hastily.
The sound of battle cries rang out as Rhian and his team charged forward. Rhian quickly shielded his arms with his lifeblood to weather the barrage as he approached Commander June.
“If we could get there before she could unsheathe her sword then we could end this match quickly.” Kraf shouted to the rest of us.
