"Okay, class, I'm going to pair you all up into two's so we can start testing the chemicals in front of you."

Two-Piece Turnpick said in his nasally voice, holding a sheet of paper with names of students paired together. Taylor gulped, hoping like hell she wasn't about to be paired with some one who didn't do any work, or worse.

Glancing over her shoulder, she spotted Nate. He glanced at her, smirking, and she turned away hurriedly.

She really, really didn't want him as a partner.

"Riley and Sasha, you two are together. Mischa and Mitchell, Georgina and Sam, Max and Henry, you are all partners."

Turnpick's eyes turned to Taylor, and she swore she saw a glint of loathing in them. Only because she had proved him wrong on one question about chemistry on her first day with him, he had hated her ever since.

"Taylor, you're paired with Oliver." Taylor frowned, turning to see the guy standing beside Nate walking towards her with a smirk on his face.

"Hey-"

"Do you all do that smirky thing or is it just Nate's little followers?"

Oliver raised his eyebrows, his smirk growing into a smile. "Whoa, Nate's little follower? I'm offended you think of me that way."

Taylor rolled her eyes. "Aren't you?"

"No, we hate each other." Oliver's smile dropped, and Taylor opened her mouth but no words came out.

"T-then why would you hang out with him all the time-"

He laughed, reaching his eyes. "Oh gosh, you're gullible."

"Shut up," Taylor glowered, turning to set up the labs.

"No, seriously, I hate him."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"He slept with my mom."

Taylor spun, almost knocking the labs off the table. "What! Really?"

Oliver was laughing hard now, his hands on his stomach. "No! God no, have you seen my mom? It's like Shrek had sex with a tomato and she was the child."

Taylor gasped. "How could you talk about your mom like that?"

Oliver shrugged, picking up some blue liquid and sloshing it around carelessly, making Taylor nervous that he'd spill it.

"It's how she describes herself. Best woman you'll ever met, more like a misunderstood troll then a doting mother."

"I see you must adore her." Taylor muttered. grabbing the test tube of blue liquid from Oliver. He cracked another grin, nodding.

"More than anything."

"How does she resemble a tomato, though?"

"Well, you know when people are like, is it a fruit, or a vegetable? Well that's like mum, except gender wise."

"I feel for you mother so much right now."

"Okay, class! Get started! The worksheets are in front of you, and you have until the end of period to begin." Turnpick clapped, going to sit at his desk, but not before glowering at Taylor.

She rolled her eyes, looking at Oliver. "You ready? Careful with pouring in that, it's acid and it will react quickly."

Oliver rubbed his hands together, picking up the test tube. He grinned. "Let's fuck shit up."
