After that strange encounter, the rest of the week went by fairly quickly. Eventually it was the end of the day Friday, and Emma and I were headed to my apartment.

"Hey you two, I hope you don't mind but an old friend of mine from College is coming over for dinner." Hannah informed us as we walked in the door.

"Can Emma stay over, it'll be less awkward for me." I asked, hoping to god she would say yes. Last time she brought someone over it was really damn awkward, they kept checking me out. Normally I would be into it, but that was my sisters friend so it felt wrong.

"Of course, now you two go clean up, you both look like crap." She teased.

Emma and I both rolled our eyes and walked towards my room. She always had clothes over here for special occasions, plus she was my size so we could share anyway.

After changing we walked into the kitchen to be met with Hannah, giving us a wide smirk. "You two look good."

"We know." Emma and I replied in unison, causing Hannah to laugh. "You both are so conceited." She teased.

"Oh, and she'll be here in fifteen minutes." Hannah announced, we just nodded walking into the living room. We laid out, snuggling into the large recliner as she flicked on the tv. Emma was my best friend, I couldn't ask for anyone better. Hell, we changed in front of each other without it being weird, and I had my face in her neck trying to nap.

"Don't fall asleep on me there kiddo." She joked.

"Hey, respect your elders." I went alone with it because I mean, why not.

I hadn't realized how much time had gone by when I heard the front door open, hearing Hannah and someone else say their hello's.

Dammit, I was comfy.

I heard Hannah walking towards us before I felt a gentle slap against the side of my head. "Get your ass up, company is here." She wasn't mad so that was a plus, I just groaned as I pulled myself away from the comfort of Emma.

She was up first, and she was playfully standing up for me. "That's not nice, don't talk to my boo like that." She defended, causing me to laugh.

"Your what?" I countered.

"Don't ruin the moment." She protested.

I shot my hands up in defense, acting as innocent as possible.

We both turned around when we heard someone laughing at us, that's when I froze. I felt my whole world explode. It was like I just swallowed a knife. She looked just as shocked.

"No. Fucking. Way." Emma stated, looking back at me and back at Hannah's friend, but I was still practically speechless.

"..Miss Smith?"

Hannah came back setting the plates out on the table. "Oh Ash, Emma. This is Lyndsy." She said, pointing to Miss Smith.

Neither of us could say anything, this awkward tension was suffocating. "The hell is wrong with you two, you look like you just saw a ghost."

"Hannah. What the fuck is Miss Smith doing here?" I deadpanned.

"Miss who-" Was all she could say before Lyndsy piped in.

"Um, she's in my AP Biology class." Her voice was slightly shaky as her eyes stared straight back into mine.

This made Hannah start obnoxiously laughing, all I could do was shoot her a glare as I pulled Emma up to the table, forcing her in the seat next to me.
