“Without you”
My day started without you near me.
I woke up alone on my bed,
What was I supposed to see?
Eating at the table,
Sitting on a chair beside me there was no you.
Am I a fool to pretend you were never true?
I walked down the streets where we used to meet.
In the café where we used to eat and drink.
Without you, even if there’s no water I’ll sink.
The pool of regret I’m going to drown.
Sleeping like it was nothing,
Again facing reality once the day's done.
