Characters watching Frozen

Chapter 2

On the screen appeared a group of  men all dressed in winter gear singing together as they cut ice and tied the pieces to multiple sleds.

Kristoff yelled out " Hey Sven look! There we are!" He pointed out a very young blonde boy and a baby reindeer copying the older men.

"Awww you were both so adorable!" Anna cooed at a embarrassed Kristof and an arrogant looking Sven. 

There were several groans from the men of the room as the group of men on the screen started to sing.

"Oh man, don't tell me this is a musical?" Jack said under his breath.

The scene continued with the men singing 'Frozen Heart' until the screen flashed to a young Anna trying to wake up a young Elsa.

Anna squealed "look how cute we are! Funny, I don't remember doing this, do you Elsa?" Looking over to Elsa, Anna noticed how pale her sister had turned. "Elsa?" Anna spoke softly. "Is this when...?" Elsa nodded with an anguished expression on her face.

"Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Young Anna bounced on her older sister's bed. "Anna, go back to bed." Elsa grumbled. "I can't, the sky's awake so I'm awake and we have to play!" Anna dramatically spread herself across Elsa's back. ,"Go play by yourself." Elsa pushed Anna off the bed until Anna sprung up from the floor and whispered in Elsa's ear, "do you wanna build a snowman?" Elsa grinned.

Elsa tried to hush Anna as she dragged her down the stairs and into the ballroom. "Show me the magic!" Anna screamed at Elsa. Elsa had somehow made snow appear in her hands.

The room exploded into shock as this appeared on screen. Everybody confused and intrigued by Elsa's gift. Jack mumbled "she's just like me. We have the same powers. She's just like me." Through all the questions being thrown at her by the others, all Elsa could focus on was Jack, and the things he had just said.

"What do you mean I'm just like you?" Elsa questioned. "Jack, who are you?" At those words Jack's head snapped towards her. Though Jack is usually quite a talker, in this instance he figured action was better than words. He gripped his staff and a large snowflake appeared, floating in air directly in front of her face.

They locked eyes and both knew. They knew that they had met their equal.

"That's...incredible! I have so much to talk to you about! So many questions!" With a bright look in her eyes, Elsa giddily grabbed onto Jack's arm and started firing questions at him. "Were you born with the powers? How did you learn to control it? What's the extent of your power? Do you channel it through your staff?"

"Woah calm down!" Jack smiled gleefully, "I'll answer all of your questions in good time, for now we should finish your movie. Afterwards we can sit down and talk, okay?"

Elsa nodded with a big grin, "I'll hold you to that promise, Jack. You're right let's continue. Weird that it just stopped when we got distracted..."

As she said this, another piece of parchment floated into Jack's hand. To the group Jack read "Hello again, the screen will stop as you get through different sections of the movies that contain important or slightly emotional content in order for you to discuss and explain if needed."

"That explains that then, let's keep watching." Jack continued. Settling back into their seats, the movie continued playing.

They smiled and laughed as the two young girls had fun in the snow. Repunzel let out a quiet "aww" as they watched Olaf's creation, Anna dancing along the ice with the snowman as Elsa pushed them. The happiness in the room soon faded however as they watched Anna get struck by Elsa's magic.

Anna was watching the scene with a heavy heart. It was unusual for her, watching her younger self in a situation she doesn't remember. Looking at Elsa's face, it was clear to see she still felt guilty. Anna was about to comfort Elsa when she realised that she and Jack were clutching to each other, Jack had an equally distraught look on his face, however Anna believed it was more for Elsa's sake than her own.

Watching their parents rush into the room was hard for both girls. Having not seen them alive for a few years, it was incredible to see them, but also heartbreaking.

They continued watching where the family visited the trolls for help. Anna cracked a small smile when Kristoff and Sven appeared on screen. She watched as the troll replaced her memories with fake ones and her parents forbid Elsa from spending time with Anna. A mutual sadness enveloped the room as they watched the two isolated girls on screen.
