Today was like anyother. She was set to go on patrol around the dead abandoned city she had claimed to be her home. The post apocalyptic looking city nearly lacked any people or living creatures but rather was over run with demonic shadows living in and around every corner. These shadows had consumed the town in death and decay. Broken soulless bodies covered the streets and blood painted it red or black were it had dried. Rain hasn't fallen in about six months and the air had a heavy stench to it. The once busy city was dark and eerily quiet, yet she found herself musing over the fact she liked it like this, then the loud cars or the annoying people that uses to busy about but she had a job to do
Her job. Simple, find anyone who was living and save them from the shadows who wanted their soul. The shadows that had eerie body structurea, could move through cracks of walls ans thrived in the darkness of the buildings. Shadows with large claws, pointed teeth and ruby red eyes.
This has been her job for about seven years now. Ever since the shadows invaded the once thriving city and took it over, just like the rest of the world. This city was one of the last to fall to the shadows. Having put up a large front in fighting till they couldn't any more. Till the people realized normal weapons of guns and blades didn't harm the shadows and were useless against the never ending wave of creatures. Yet as she had learned to fight the shadows -Aftee she was gifted with swords the could harm them- she felt as they had begun to spawn, in a way, from the ceneter if this city. The waves of creatures just appearing, coming from no where and everywhere at the same time.
She had always sensed a strong power source from this city. It was what had drawn her here years ago. This source when she followed it lead her to a large company with a strong powerful CEO who seemed to be working hard to save the people of dying people of the city. The once busy office building was slowly being converted into a safe haven for humans and other creatures who could not fight against the shadows, who would stay under the protection of the CEO of the company who happened to be the daughter of the late wealthy business man who had owned it, and was now her's.
This daughter happened to become a very good friend to Nia and soon even more then that. Miyna was a powerful entity, she was human but smart and cunning. She was a born leader and easnt afraid to show her strengths. Shes lead everyone with a strong voice and strong actions that backed her up. She fought the shadows along side the men she found whispered wanted to defend the city. She opened her doors and her money to supply what she could to those in need. She took her busy building and worked and turned it into homes for the needed. She made everyone she save work for their stay and every helped out each other. She was kind snd loyal but tough when she needed to be. Ahe had this conifendce that drew Nia to her like a moth to a flame. She was everything Nia sought out in a person, a shinning light in this world of darkness, Miyna power was something that drew people to her and made them want to stick around, and she made one hell of a lover. Nia swore her loyalty and worked as Miyna right hand man as they worked together for the past seven years to save this city.
Now she was stuck searching for humans she was barely able find anymore, but Nia had enjoyed the fights she got to do every day. She enjoyed fighting the shadows, after she was given sword from a strange Male in a heavy cloak who bore many weapons upon him, she found she was given quite an advantage against the shadows. Her blades, pair of dual swords made of light but strong metal glowed with an energy of pure light that cut through shadows as if they where water. With Nia own unquie strength, speed and powers, the swords added to her continued successful mission, one after another.
Today just like any other, she found her self surrounded. The shadows where were she wanted them. Surrounding her, on all sides with out a route for her to escape. Yet she moved in the moving circle with skill and perscion. Her blades sung as she swung them, emitting a bright blue glow around her. In one move she would be able to take them all out. One move and they would be done for as always. These shadows were never a challenge.
