the monotonous beeping from the machines kept me up all night along with the endless tossing and turning, i had enough and got up and left the room. i let myself wander around before finding myself in the garden.
the moon was the only source of light. it allowed the multiple flowers to shine in their own light. slowly approaching the garden bed, i sat down and admired the full beauty in front of me.
"you like them too?" a voice asked. looking up, there was this girl who looked about my age.
"ah let me introduce myself, i'm cha yeonghwa." she says.
"i-i'm gina tran." i said. i inspected her face as she looked familiar and realized that she was jisung's friend.
"so you like the flowers too?" she asked again.
"um, they are beautiful, but i kinda have a love-hate relationship with them." i say as i pick at the grass beneath me.
"ahh, well my favorite flower are the alstroemerias, they mean friendship." she starts. "i uh relate to you though, i have the disease too."
my head snapped towards her direction upon hearing her words.
"y-you do?" i whispered.
"yeah, i do. it's been tough, but i'm surviving and i'm sure you will too." she says as she looked at me.
the silence quickly took over the conversation and left a soft and comfortable environment for us to relax in.
it's nice to know that someone relates to you.
