My eyes flutter open and are immediately blasted with overpowering, harsh lights. I can feel... nothing. Well that's new. I open my eyes, slowly this time, and as they adjust, I take a look around my ro- not my room.
There's a heart monitor connected to my arm.
There's a heART MONITOR. CONNECTED. TO. MY. ARM.
I'm in a plain, white bed, and in a hospital gown. There's a shelf to my left with bunches of flowers all over it, with cards propped between them. The.. the heart monitor is on a small pole that also has a UV drip on it.
I glance down and see a crumpled piece of paper just below my hand and I reach to grab it...
I reach to grab it...
I'm not reaching to grab it. I can't move. I cannot move my body.
What the hell happened to me?
