Third person's point of view.

Hannibal had been on the balcony landing of one of the rooms when Edward came in, he didn't knock because he knew from Hannibal's thoughts that she'd heard him coming. "Hey," he greeted softly, "hey," she said back, looking out over the forest, her hands caressing her locket, as she stared into nothing,

"Your sister sent someone?" Edward nodded, "Peter and Charlotte. Jasper's friends from his New Born days." Hannibal nodded, "what was his name?" Edward asked knowing from seeing his daughter's thoughts but he wanted to hear her say it. "Buchanan," she said softly, "He was the sweetest and kindest man, I'd ever met." she said,

Finally looking down at the locket, "Stubborn to a fault, but brave and he adored our baby like there was no tomorrow," Edward could relate, "It nearly broke his heart to watch our baby slowly die, I know it broke mine, to have so much power and not be able to keep the product of our love safe," she explained,

"That's why I want to help, to keep your little girl with you, to keep your family with you when you need them most and I promise to do just that, I won't let Aro take your family and friends from you, even if it kills me." taking his hand she set her locket into his palm. "Keep them with you and remember my promise." closing his hand around it,

She transformed into her eagle form and flew off over the forest. Looking down at the locket he opened it and inside he looked at the images. Faded but still visible, Buchanan looked like an older version of Edward. He's what Edward imagined he'd look like if he'd reached his forties. Small smile lines around the eyes and mouth,

Slight graying in at the temples and a mustache and beard also graying with age, the baby looked the way Renesmee should, a few months old with wide eyes and wisps of curly hair, "What are you going to do?" Rosalie said coming into the room and standing next to her brother, "She's a mother without a family and you're a family without a mother." Edward nodded,

"It's too soon, I don't think I'm ready yet?" Rosalie nodded, "So long as that little girl down there is happy I don't care what you do." after that Rosalie left, "What do I do?" he said to himself, not sure of anything he was feeling. "What do I do, Bella?" he whispered; if he was able to cry he would.

Edward wasn't alone for long, Renesmee having come to look for him, found him sitting on a bed with Hannibal's necklace in his hands, his head bowed as he was deep in thought, "Dad?" she called and he looked up, smiling at her softly, she moved over to him, helping up onto his lap, she hugged him,

Her little arms circling around his shoulders as her head rested against his chin. "Do you miss mommy?" she asked, chuckling sadly he nodded, "Yes, very much," frowning a bit she leaned her head up, "I can only remember a bit of her," Renesmee said, "But if she'd be here, I think she'd be a lot like Hannibal."

Renesmee was on the right track but Bella was also different from Hannibal in many ways. Bella was more prone to bouts of stubbornness and had a tendency to be very selfish sometimes, but her kindness and mystery drew him in. Whereas Hannibal was a lot more open when he asked her something,

She also understood his need to keep things to himself and his daughter adored her, looked up to her as a mother-figure, plus he feels there is more to her then she's already shown. He just doesn't know yet, he's still in love with Bella, that will never change in his mind, she accepted him for who he is and he was able to accept her humanity,

He was willing to do everything she wanted so long as she didn't leave him. But when she did and left in her place a child that is almost her mirror image. "Do you like Hannibal?" Renesmee asked as she watched her father think, looking at his daughter he smiled slightly, "Do you?" he asked, Renesmee smiled and nodded,

"She's so nice to me and lets me pet her in her animal forms, she's even able to beat Jake in wrestling." she said with a big smile, "She tells me stories of princesses and kings and magic and shows me all kinds of tricks," Renesmee's smile faltered a bit, "I'm afraid she'll leave if we win." she said honestly,

"I don't want her to." his daughter said hugging him, "I can't ask her to stay, but I'll see if she'll vist." Renesmee nodded.

(A/N: I know it's been a while sorry for the wait, and for not updating, but I was having a hard time figuring out how to write this chapter, it's also probably very cheesy but I hope you like it.)
