The Factory

On the cliffside of Gravity Falls, there stood an apparently abandoned factory. However, the truth was that it served a greater purpose than merely storing Gideon merchandise. It was a secret facility, unknown to most, and Bud Gleeful had been assigned the role of security guard by Magical Man.

Inside the factory, Bud was fast asleep in the security booth, neglecting his duty to guard the entrance. Unbeknownst to him, Danny and Mabel managed to sneak past him, thanks to Danny's ability to turn them invisible. Danny held onto Mabel's shoulder as they made their way past Bud.

Approaching the entrance, they found it bolt-locked. But that was no obstacle for Danny. Holding onto Mabel, he phased through the solid door, allowing them to enter undetected. Once inside, Danny released his grip on Mabel, making her visible again. He also transformed back into his human form, becoming visible himself.

"Wow, you can really walk through walls, disappear, and fly," Mabel marveled at Danny's ghostly powers, filling him with a sense of pride.

"Of course I can, I'm Danny Phantom!" he replied, sporting a confident smile.

As they surveyed their surroundings, they noticed that the factory was filled from top to bottom with Gideon merchandise. Danny couldn't help but question their purpose for being there. "So, what exactly are we doing here?" he asked.

"Well, Danny, just like in every show, there are secrets. Secrets about how things are made and how they come into existence," Mabel explained as she started walking.

"Yeah, there's a factory in my show where they manufacture our thermoses and ghost weapons, so we must be in a secret factory right now, huh?" Danny realized.

"Actually, the factory is hidden beneath this fake one," Mabel revealed, leading Danny towards a large metal elevator door concealed behind a wall of boxes. She produced a key with a blue PineTree keychain and inserted it into the slot.

Turning the key, the elevator doors opened. Anticipating Danny's curiosity, Mabel preemptively addressed the source of the key. "Dipper gave me these keys," she informed him, knowing he would have asked.

"I didn't steal them," Mabel quickly clarified, feeling a twinge of offense even though Danny hadn't accused her of anything. Danny sensed her unease and couldn't help but feel a bit guilty.

They both stepped into the elevator, and the doors closed behind them. Mabel pulled the lever, initiating the slow descent into the depths of the factory below.

As they rode the elevator, they took the opportunity to engage in conversation and get to know each other better.

"So, tell me more about yourself. Why do you look like me when you glitch?" Danny inquired, leaning against the wall and sensing the movement of the elevator.

"Well, Danny, some animation errors have hidden sides they prefer not to reveal, while others simply glitch," Mabel explained, standing in the center of the elevator.

"I would have been one of those glitches without a secret persona, or perhaps I wouldn't have existed at all," she continued, looking down with a faint frown.

"But one day, around the time Gravity Falls first aired on TV, your show was also being broadcast on the same day," Mabel recounted.
