*It was finally time for the Forever Fall field trip that the first years are taking. Everyone is getting ready on the night before. Jaune on the other hand was getting used by his fellow 'friend' Cardin. Now, shall we begin?*
Nora: How come Jaune gets home so late?
Ren: He's become rather scarce ever since he's been fraternizing with Cardin.
Nora: That's weird. Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest! Like Professor (L/N) says! "If you don't get plenty of rest, your not going to be at your max!"
Pyrrha: I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing.
Nora: Hmm... I guess so.
*Jaune was listening to his teammates talk about him. He closes the door ashamed of what he's doing.
Jaune: *sigh*
Ruby: Hey Jaune!
Jaune: Guh!
Ruby: Long time no see. Did you lock yourself out again?
Jaune: Oh! Uh, nope! Heh, got it!
Ruby: So, where ya been lately?
Jaune: I messed up. I did something I shouldn't have and now Cardin's got me on a leash and Pyrrha won't even talk to me. I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea. I'm a failure.
Ruby: Nope!
Jaune: Nope?
Ruby: You're a leader now Jaune. You're not allowed to be a failure.
Jaune: But, What if I'm a failure at being a leader?
Ruby: Mmm... nope!
Jaune: You know, you're not the easiest person to talk about this kind of stuff.
Ruby: Nope! Jaune, maybe you were a failure when you were a kid, and you might've been a failure the first day we met, but you can't be one now. You know why?
Jaune: Uh, because-
Ruby: Because it's not about you anymore. You've got a team now Jaune. We both do. And if we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us. We have to put our teammates first, and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader Jaune. And I think that can be you.
Jaune: Ruby wait!
Ruby: Yea?
Jaune: Thanks, I didn't know you can be inspiring.
Ruby: No problem, my dad helps me out through tough times even though he's not good with words, which surprisingly he is.
Jaune: Heh, your dad must be great. What's his name?
Ruby: Oh! He's our teacher for hand to hand combat.
Jaune: Professor (L/N) is your father?!
Ruby: Yep! He's the best. Jaune even him started off like us, so he kept training and became stronger. He never gave up.
Jaune: Wow, he must be amazing.
Ruby: He's the best dad ever. Have a goodnight Jaune.
*Ruby goes back into her dorm to go to sleep. Jaune gets up and gets a voicemail from Cardin, asking Jaune to get a bag of rapier wasps. He walks away and the next day starts.*
Glynda: Yes students, the Forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful, but we are not here to sight see. Professor Peach asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest. And Professor (L/N) and I are here to make sure that none of you die while doing so.
