The door squeaks open as the three of us enter the house. My father looks at us relieved.

"Oh, I'm so glad you're all safe." He says coming towards us with his arms stretched open for a hug. He hugs all of us, his arms reach across Azura and Coral while I'm squished in the middle.

"Yea, glad we're safe too," I say pulling myself out of the hug. I look around the house for an indication that my mom or Terran might be home. "Have you seen mom or Terran?" I ask.

"No, but I figured they would both be on their way since they both are coming from Midway," My father replies. My mother works under the government for midway. She works for child services both here and on Earth. The only reason we have child services here is because of some supers being born without powers. It's a rare occurrence, but it does happen. They are tested to see if maybe they're just late in development then are taken to earth to be put in their foster care. My mother's job is to communicate with the supers who secretly live on earth that there is a baby that is getting transported. Another rare occurrence is if a baby who was sent to earth that was born without powers grows up and passes on the power gene to their child. According to my mom, the supers down on earth have to take the baby away and wipe the parent's memory to before they even had conceived the child.

"How long have you been home?" Coral asks my father.

"Not long, I flew home once I heard the announcement." He replies. My father's job isn't as exciting as my mothers. He's just an accountant.

I drop my book-bag behind the couch as I go and sit down to watch the news. Coral sits down next to me as our father walks into the kitchen to get us all something to eat. Azura sits down in the chair next to us.

"Have you called mom or Terran to see if they're okay?" Azura asks my father.

"No, I'll call your mother. You see if you can get a hold of Terran." He says as he places the tray of food on the coffee table in front of us. Azura, dangling her feet off the armrest of the chair, pulls out her phone and dials Terran's phone. My father does the same to try and get a hold of my mother.

Meanwhile Coral and I watch the TV intently. The news anchor speaks in a calm manner as he should. But it's still surprising under the circumstances.

"The government is on shut down right now. No one has heard anything from the council since the announcement earlier today. There is no other confirmation that the all-powerful is actually dead, we're waiting to hear more on the subject. We'll be right back." The screen goes to commercial.

"Well, that helps," Coral says sarcastically. She sits back in on the couch looking almost defeated. I reach over to grab some chips from the tray. I don't know what to feel right now. I'm hoping this is all just some kind prank or someone just clicked the wrong button that sent the universe into chaos.

"Is it that hard to pick up your damn phone!" I look over at the Azura yelling into her phone. Right then, the door squeaks open.

"Well, it's kind of hard to pick up your phone when you left it at the arena," Terran replies. Azura immediately gets up to give him a hug.

"Are you okay?" Azura looks at Terran concerned.

"I'm okay I just had to make sure everyone got out of the arena safely that's all. I'm glad I sent you out of the arena when I did," Terran says in a stern voice pointing at me.

"What, you were at the arena? Caia! What did I tell you about going to the arena during school hours!" My father yells. Looking from my father to my brother, I cross my arms as I sit back on the couch.

"Thanks," I mouth back at my brother so my father doesn't hear me. Terran gives me a smug look. "Have you heard from mom?" I ask trying to change the subject.
