"Do you want me to help you pick that up?" He asked as he started to chuckle.

"Um, no, I got it, I think" I quickly said and ran into the kitchen to get a broom and dust pan. When I ran back into the living room, he was standing right by the glass.

"I got it, it was my fault, I scared you" he grabbed the broom out of my hand and started sweeping the pieces of glass into the dust pan. I just watched him and eventually caught myself staring. My idol was in my house that was barely a house. Most of my furniture was gone because I couldn't pay for it, and I haven't had hot water in over a year. Why would he come to me? I wondered.

"Here." He said giving me the dust pan of glass.

"Oh thank you" I told him and smiled. I quickly walked away and put the glass into the trash and walked back to the living room. He started to watch my every move. I started to feel more and more self conscious.

"What are you doing here?" I finally had to ask something it had been at least two minutes of just staring at each other.

"Okay, first of all, I'm sorry I scared you" he said sincerely.

"No you didn't scare me" I said quickly.

"Oh yes you got scared" and he started to laugh again.

"Ok, whatever, what are you doing here?" I replied.

"Oh, sorry, why didn't you call me?" He asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Call me." He replied in a slower more relaxed voice.

"I don't have your number" I said confused.

"Didn't one of my bodyguards give it to you?" He questioned with an eyebrow raised.

"Oh, yes, yes they did." I looked at my feet.

"So why didn't you call?" He asked quietly.

"I couldn't." I sighed,

"What do you mean?" He asked sympathetically.

"I couldn't find the card." I lied.

"You're lying, I can tell. Why won't you tell me?" He asked taking my hand and sitting me down on my couch.

"I didn't pay my phone bill." I mumbled under my breath.

"Oh" I heard him say which means he heard what I said.

"Then come with me" he finally said after a minute of silence.

"I don't even know you and I know you're Michael Jackson, but how do I know I can trust you?"

"Do you trust me?" He smiled and I looked into his eyes. He didn't seem like he'd hurt me or anything, but I forgot about all my extra stuff and my house.

"Yeah I don't think so," I quickly said.

"Why not?" He asked kind of sharply.

"I have this house, and a little bit of furniture, and a kitten."

"You have a kitten!" He got so excited.

"Yeah, his name is MJ after you" I chuckled and blushed, and he did too.

"Bring your kitten and I'll take care of the house and stuff." He replied sincerely.

"I couldn't do that to you. Why are you being so nice?"

"The house is no problem, let me help you, I love helping people." He said. I thought about how nice and how little I had to lose.

"Okay, fine, I'll come." I smiled.

"Do you have a car?" He asked

"Um, no." I replied to him feeling so much poorer than him. He has almost everything and I have nothing.

"That's okay, ride with me. I was going to offer you the ride anyway. He smiled.

"Um, thanks, I have to get MJ, so I'll meet you in the car?" I asked.

"I'll help you find him" he winked, which made me blush.

For the next half hour we ran around my near empty house. He found it so much fun. We quickly found MJ sleeping on a kitchen chair, and scooped him up and put him in his carrier.

"Ready?" He asked excitedly.

"Yes" I finally said opening the door for Michael and then locking it behind me. "Where are we going?" I asked, completely forgetting I was getting in a car with Michael Jackson and trusting him with my life.

"Neverland." He replied and winked, and slowly drove away from my house onto the main highway.
