I stood in the doorway to the crappy little apartment I shared with my best friend, Kiyomi. She was currently asleep and I knew that I probably would never see her again. My gaze fell upon the pale cream colored couch where I would've been sleeping tonight, but instead I made a pact and now I have a new home to go to. I was slightly excited, but also a little nervous. And dare to say I was worried not only for me, but for Kiyomi as well. I wondered what she would say when she woke up and found the note that I left her. It didn't really explain that I made a blood pact, but it did tell her that I was moving to another city and that I would write to her as soon as I could.

I slowly shut the thick, metal front door and stepped outside into the frigid, crisp, autumn air.  As I turned to walk down to the meeting place I heard a familiar voice call out from behind me.

"Hey, Nozomi! Whatcha doing?" It was Kiyomi's neighbor and a close friend of ours, Aiko Hayashi. I quickly turned around and placed a smile on my face as she peaked out of her apartment's window and stared down at me. She then seemed to notice my suitcase and her smile fell from her face.

"Oh are you moving out?" She asked quietly and I simply nodded before waving goodbye. I kept walking with tears running down my face as I left the range my ears could hear Aiko's voice yelling out for me.  I had a feeling she'd wake up Kiyomi soon and that I wouldn't have much time before they started searching for me to get some answers. So I picked up my page and practically ran to the cemetery where I was told to me him. Ryuu I think was his name and he said that he would meet me at the Akahoshi family mausoleum so that he could take me to the home of the Blood Knights. Which is where I'll be living until I stop being a magical girl.

Soon after reaching the cemetery, I noticed several other girls walking down paths with overnight bags and suitcases so I assumed we were all heading to the same place. I stood at the entrance to the mausoleum, right next to a girl with bright long, hot pink hair. Suddenly the tomb's door opened and out walked Ryuu

"Good evening girls," He said with a large smile on his face as he spoke. I gave him a smile back and shouted out a greeting of "good evening" then Ryuu motioned for us to step into the mausoleum and most of the girls looked nervous, but walked forward anyways. I was one of the last to walk through the door and as we reached the other side, I saw that there was many more girls who were Blood Knights then I thought.

"Wow," I muttered out as I stood in a large room with two grand staircases and a fountain in the middle. The floors were marble and the chandeliers were crystal and gold. There were girls everywhere. Some sitting on couches and chairs, others were just standing, and some were running around the room. Ryuu stepped through the portal after the pink haired girl and after he made it through, the portal disappeared and was replaced by two ornate golden doors. Ryuu then snapped his fingers and disappeared too, but before we could wonder too much on what to do next, an older woman came and called our attention.

"Welcome girls," She started before pausing for a moment and then continuing "This is your new home for as long as you remain a Blood Knight. Now as you were told before, it is your job to hunt down soul hounds and kill them." We all nodded in response before she clapped her hands and a sheet of paper appeared in our hands.

"That is your dorm number. You will have to share dorms with up to seven other girls, besides yourself," The woman spoke again and this time after her pause she finally told us her name "I'm Mrs. Mikami, if you girls need anything ask a maid and if they can't help you, ask me." And with that she left in a puff of smoke. So I started walking down the halls and up the stairs while following the map on the price of paper I was given. Finally I reached the door with my number on it and I placed my hand on the brass doorknob and turned it. I saw hot pink haired girl coming up behind me and then I realized we had the same dorm room.

Upon opening the door I saw a sitting room first off with a large circular red couch and sitting on it was a girl with bright red hair. And I knew who this girl was all too well.

"Oh shit."
