CHAPTER 14

Sarah's POV

I paced up and down in my bedroom, trying to think of a way to solve my problem.

As soon as Tyler was discharged, I had come back to the city. I had enough of those middle-classed villagers.

And that girl, Oh, she made my blood boil in my veins.

Who the hell does she think she is? Sashaying into my son's life, only to take him away from me.

Everything was finally going according to my plans. The two packs would have been united if Tyler had agreed to join the Lupei pack.

I would not allow my family's bloodline to be tainted by such a foul pest as herself. I would find a way to remove her from Tyler's life, permanently. Then I would drag him back here, and make sure those idiots were punished for hiding him from me.

An idea sprung into my thoughts.

Now this would be interesting. I couldn't help the grin that spread across my face as I picked up my cell and dialed the number of the only person who could help me.

"Victoria, darling, I have a job for you."

Yes, I had the feeling that my power and status would not be going anywhere after all.

Ty's POV

"What are you doing outside?" Erin came out onto the porch looking pissed, one hand on her hip. The sun shone from behind her, causing a glow to surround her like a halo.

"Good morning to you too!" I leaned back against the swing and patted the empty spot next to me.

"You're supposed to be resting, Ty!" She rolled her eyes and came over to sit beside me.

"Isn't this resting?" I put an arm around her shoulder and stared out at the empty street.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her smoldering eyes searching mine for an explanation.

It then struck me how different she was from Lycia.

I pushed the thought away. It was time I started to live again. I never thought I'd find myself actually falling for someone else, but every day I felt a little more alive again.

Damn, this was so complicated! I knew deep down, that it would be almost impossible for me to stop loving Lycia. Yet, at the same time, I was starting to love Erin.
