Adrien was tired and wary from his travels.  He had arrived in Jura a few days prior his arrival because his father didn't approve of tardiness. King Gabriel didn't approve of a lot of things

He was thinking about why his father would call him from his estate in Paris so suddenly all he wanted to do was go back to something that felt like home and as he made his way to his father's study he was brought out of his musings by father's adviser Natalie who stood outside the door ready to announce his presence

Natalie gave him a grim look as she did a once over "you look well Adrien"

He smiled Thank you Natalie can I go in ?
Yes, your father has been expecting you

Adrien opened the door and walked into his father study.Gabriel was sitting down behind his desk looking through some papers .Sit down Adrien his father said coldly as if he was dealing with a spec of dust from his court
He didn't ask if his son was doing well ?Adrien was a bit disappointed what did he expect ?
Adrien was not looking forward to this whatever it was his father wanted to discuss with him he knew that he would walk out that door angry,silent and resigned

His father finally spoke Adrien I called you here to discuss your marriage you've come of age now and I think it's time you marry
You are an heir to the throne and it is imperative that you bring an heir to the throne as well.

It's time for you to take up your duty as a prince I know I've hidden you away from the world as my son but that was for your protection

Adrien looked at his father silently willing for this meeting to end

He hated the fact that his father wanted him to marry

Gabriel continued to speak

I have decided that it is also in our best interests to wed you to a lady of nobility with good standing

So I have arranged for lady Rossi and lady Bourgeois to come stay with you in Paris you will marry either one of them

Am I clear Adrien?

Adrien cleared his throat, Yes father is that all ?

Gabriel nodded his head dismissing his son

Adrien had seen this coming he didn't like it but what could he do
He was surprised his father gave him a choice not  favourable odds but still a choice

There were times where he wanted  hate his sire but he just couldn't

He sighed as he walked back to his chambers
He needed to send a missive to plagg and get ready to leave

The next few weeks would be a pain
