Nash's POV

I have to admit I was thrown off a bit by the whole Adrian thing. But Boa was right though, if I keep giving him power over me he'll keep coming back. Not anymore.
"So this is where you'll walk down the aisle with the sun shining brightly against your desired outfit. Your groom will be waiting for you right here. Now for the reception there is this beautiful villa not too far from here and that's where we're gonna party! I've seen the place, it's beautiful," Noriyah said gushing over the décor as she showed me pictures. She took it upon herself to make sure everything went smoothly, which included going to Saint Martin herself.

Our guests had RSVP'd and we were just about ready to go. "I can't believe I'm getting married in a month," I said with a small smile. "Well believe it baby boy because it's happening. There's just a few things I must get prepared but within a month you will officially be my son in law. You excited?"

"More than words can explain. I'm just worried about Boa," I said taking a seat on the couch. "You mean the whole Adrian thing? Boy please, Abraham knows better. Relax, Boa can handle his," Noriyah said sitting next to me. "But what you need to do is close the chapter. Which means getting closure from Adrian."

My eyes never left hers as she rested her head on her arm. "You don't mean—"

"You have to talk to Adrian honey. Get it all out of your system. And leave it at that. Cause you'll always wonder if you don't."
I sat up facing the window and took a sigh. Standing up I walked around the beautiful living room. My eyes gazed at the pictures hanging. Most of them of me and Boa, pictures even I could never forget. I found myself running a finger on the picture Marciel took of me in the Bahamas. A smile came to me when I saw what it was titled. 'For Boa'. At least Marciel respected me that much.

"Whatever happened to the house Boa bought in DC?" I asked now looking at a picture of Boa from graduation. "He sold it for a pretty penny. Said it was too painful to live in. I didn't ask questions. Nash? Sweetheart. You graduated but what are you doing, with your life?" Noriyah asked as I paused and looked back at her. For once I was stumped. "I don't know. Wow. Guess I've been too busy living in melancholy I forgot I needed to build a name for myself. The only thing I've been doing is...nothing," I said walking towards the couch.
Noriyah smiled and grabbed her things. "This is your second chance love. Don't waste it," she said kissing me on the cheek and leaving. What she said left a smile on my lips. I've been a victim long enough. I'm alive, I need to start acting like it. An idea flashed in my head as I ran to open my computer.

Boa's POV

A light knock at the door caught my attention. "Introducing, the heavily pregnant, Lacy Adams," I heard as I chuckled. "Come on in," I said while standing up to give her a hug. She dropped a brown bag on the table before wrapping her arms around my torso. "Nash sent me on a lunch run. I know you like fattening cheese burgers!" Lacy said eyeing me up and down before sitting down.

"That was low," I answered as she giggled. "You were so skinny in DC, all of a sudden you turn into puff daddy. Hope it didn't shrink down there."

"Ha-ha! Ask your friend. Speaking of, why did he send you? Is he scared to come here now?" I asked as Lacy smiled. "Actually, he is busy. Putting a few things in order it's revolutionary," she said confusing me. "Oh...kay."

I opened the bag to be graced by a double patty cheeseburger with a side of fries and a large coke. I bit into the burger and my eyes rolled to the back of my head, heaven. "Fat pig," Lacy commented before us both started laughing. I enjoyed spending time with Lacy to be honest. She always had the funniest stories to tell. Amidst our banter we heard a very familiar voice bellow, "Word through the grapevine you're pregnant," Adrian said as we went quiet.

"Oh come on. I just wanna be part of the squad again," he said with that mocking grin on his face. "There never was a squad," Lacy said standing up. She looked at me and scrunched up her face, "Why am I craving shawarma? I hate shawarma," she said as I laughed at her. "That's what Owen Junior wants. Now go feed him," I said as she shrugged and brushed past Adrian. A tiny chuckle escaped my lips before I went back to work with Adrian staring holes into my soul.

"How's my baby doing?" he asked and I looked at him oddly. "You have a child? Wow."

"You know what I mean."

"Mr. Morris this is a place of work. Please be professional and return to your station. You can't gain experience if you aren't actually working," with that I faced the computer again. Completely disregarding everything I said he asked, "So when is the big wedding?"

"A month from now. Can you leave now?"

"Aight nigga. Just saying though, it's not gonna happen like last time."
That man had a way of annoying me.

Making my way to my place I stopped to pick up some coffee. As I waited for my order I came face to face with someone I'm not sure how to deal with at this moment. "Hey."

"Hey Zayvia. You good?" I asked just as my order came through. "I'm alright. So...you're getting married huh?" she said trying to break the awkwardness. "Yeah. I'm sorry, about how things ended. I know I wasn't fair to you," I said honestly being sincere. "Water under the bridge. Nash is actually a great guy," she said with a little smile. My face showed my confusion. How the hell did they know each other?

"He called me for lunch the other day to smooth things over. We've even set a few dates to hang out."

"That's Nash for you. The peacemaker. Well I got to go but it was good seeing you," I said walking out. That wasn't weird at all. Right?
When I reached my door I could hear music playing. Not the soft kind. When I walked in the lyrics became clearer. Steeler by Blaq Tuxedo. There was an aroma flooding my nose. He cooked. When he came into view he was walking out the bedroom looking like a motherfucking snack! Forget that a whole meal with sides and juice to boot. There was something different as well. He dyed his hair. Well, just helped his already existing gingerish hair. It was an ombre black and ginger going on. His outfit brought out that phatty I told y'all he was getting. My dick kinda jumped at how he walked unaware of my presence. I turned the corner to see him looking at himself in the mirror.

"What are you doing to me?" I asked as he finally stirred and looked at me though the mirror. "Absolutely nothing," he said spraying a little perfume and walking towards me. He placed his arms on my shoulders, "You like?"

"Naah. Like isn't enough. I love," I said grabbing a handful of his ass. "Behave," he said with a cute chuckle. "I'm gonna go see a lady about a book. I'll explain when I get back," Nash spoke but my lips were already on his. He pulled away but I wasn't done. I attacked his neck. I don't care where he was going, so long as whoever he was meeting knew he was mine. "Boa," he moaned grabbing a handful of my hair. I turned him around with no warning and attacked his neck again. His breath got hitched. "Baby stop."

"Give me one good reason why."

"I won't be able to stop," he said pulling away and grabbing a briefcase. I looked down at my tent, "See what you've done," I said as he laughed. "All on you baby boy," he said walking past me. Before he disappeared out of sight he stopped at the door, "Wait up. You might get lucky," he said before closing the door.

Damn.
