drug addict
I'm rushing down the school's front yard with Tommy only a few feet behind me trying to catch up with me, calling out my name telling me to stop. I've spent the last twenty minutes explaining to him what happened last night at work. I was too pissed already to bother to but I guess I owed him an explanation when he kept asking me why I was slamming doors and pushing people out of my way.
I spot Jenny among her group of idiots and speed up my walking as I make my way over to her. Messing with me is one thing but messing with my job and only income in my house is something worth troubling for.
I can tell she's seen me approach but she doesn't bother to pay much attention. She still thinks she has the upper hand on everything.
I pull her violently by her shoulder to turn around and face me directly. Surprised yet equally bothered she eyes me from head to toe in contempt.
"Excuse you!" She sneers at me as the rest of her group starts to turn their attention to us. Aaron is among them, standing and watching curiously like the rest.
"You know no boundaries, do you? How fucking dare you mess with my job!" I go off on her yet she doesn't look nearly as intimidated as she should be. Instead she's wearing the most annoying smug expression imaginable.
"Me? It's not my fault you're useless at everything you do." She replies keeping her tone relatively low and full of venom.
"A statement coming from someone who's never had to work a single hour in her life. Exactly how useful do you think you are?" I snap at her glaring at her way too hard.
I can see a crowd gathering around us eager to have a witness at the fight.
"Compared to you, everyone's useful. You're a loser and a drug addict. It's no wonder your father got himself killed rather than put up with you." She speaks and everything around me blurs.
I acknowledge nothing, not the annoying noises her friends make, not Tommy and my friends beside me, not the audience we have around us. Before I can think better my fist is already colliding with her pretty face, breaking her nose instantly. She holds her fresh wound in pain and shock as blood starts running out. A couple of her minion jocks step forward in a protective and threatening manner but once Tommy does the same they cave. They know he's up to his reputation.
"You fucking frea-" Jenny manages to yell over her pain yet she never gets to finish as I cut her off.
"You say one more thing about my father and I'll turn your guts into your next necklace." I threaten, my blood still boiling. Her eyes are wide open in shock and fear is now clear in her no matter how hard she tries to hide it.
It's only then I take an actual look around me. Everyone is already gossiping and commenting on what just took place. My eyes lastly land on Aaron. He keeps just standing there, shocked like the rest yet remaining in his place silent and still. For some reason his inaction irritates me so badly. Without saying a word and having Tommy pulling my arm to get me away from there I follow his lead, turn on my heel and walk away with him and the rest of my good friends on my sides. The crowd begins to scatter back to wherever they came from never stopping to gossip about the fresh news of our high school.
"Hey, Vic! Vic!" I hear an annoyingly familiar voice approach a few moments later and without second thoughts I speed up my pace and walk away faster while Tommy turns around to deal with what I can't. He always has my back as I always have his."Move, I want to talk to Vic." I hear Aaron speak.
"You? You're supposed to be her friend and all you did was stand there. Whatever it is you want to tell her I'm sure is not important. Leave her alone." Tommy states before heading right back to us.
