"Hello there~."

You jumped, gasping at the sudden scare. You turned around to see a tall man, suiting a crimson color palette, which complimented his sickeningly yellow teeth. Your heart was pounding right out of your body.

"Oh my, did I frighten you that badly? My apologies." he chuckled deeply. You were still catching your breath, he certainly knows how to make good impressions, doesn't he? "I-It's alright...I guess..." you said getting more and more quiet.

He straightened himself out, assumedly, making sure he was presentable. "Where are my manners? My name is Alastor, famous radio show host, and your new neighbor! I hope we can get along, not saying that we won't. What's your name my dear?"

It took you a while to catch up with what he was spewing out, he did talk quite fast. "(Y/N)...I-it's (Y/N)..." you said, silently backing away since he seemed to have forgotten about a thing called personal space. His smile grew wider and more wicked. It seemed that he had grabbed your hand, for whatever reason. "(Y/N), what a wonderful name, a wonderful name for a wonderful young lady, such as yourself! A pleasure to make your acquaintance!" Alastor exclaimed.

His grip on your hand tightened, making you wince in pain, and maybe from fear. His bright red eyes bored into your own, making it seem as if he was trying to make sure you knew who was the real boss around here. Let's just say, you got the memo. "Yo, Radio Box, mind letting her go? You're kind of digging into her skin..." Angel said, venom radiating from his voice.

Alastor sent him a deadly stare, but Angel just seemed to return the gesture. He turned back to face you. "So it seems I am...my sincerest apologies, madame." he said, releasing your hand without much care. You grabbed your hand and rubbed it, it really hurt. For some reason, it stung badly.

Angel went over to your side, making sure you were okay. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Angel giving Alastor another dirty look. Alastor seemed not to care, in fact, he seemed like he enjoyed the look on his face. His attention was forwarded over to you, as he caught you staring at him.

"You know, it's quite rude to stare." he said as a smirk grew upon his face. That comment made you look away, embarrassed at what you had just done. You didn't mean to, it was an accidental stare. There was almost something... magnetic about him. You don't know what it was but there just something about him.

"Hey Alastor, since you're here, can you show (Y/N) to her room? You two are right next door to each other, and I think you two could get to know each other better with the more time you guys spend!" Charlie decided to finally chip in. She must've not been around to hear or see the previous events that had occurred, otherwise she probably wouldn't be acting so kind...

"Of course, I'd be absolutely enthralled to show her up to her room! Just follow me, it's just-" he got cut off my Angel saying "I don't think so, Buster. I'm going with ya, whether you like it or not." He grabbed your arm, making you stay in place. Oh boy, here we go...

"I don't think that'll be necessary. I may be a demon, but I'm not the absolute monster that you portray me as. What would I do with her anyways?" he inquired. "I don't know, because I don't have a completely fucked up mind like you do, buddy! C'mon, I'll show you to your room." Angel tried to drag you to follow him but you stopped him.

"Angel, I thank you for your concern, but I don't think Alastor here would do anything of the sort." He looked at you with apparent shock, surprised that you objected his offer. Either that or because you actually didn't stutter this time round. He tried to object, but you assured him that you'd be fine.

Alastor seemed to smile, not in the creepy way either. An actual, genuine smile this time. That didn't last for long though, as he seemed to realize what he was doing. "Come along, my dear. Follow me." Alastor gestured for you to come close and walk with him. You went over, and you two began to proceed.

Down the quiet, dark hallway you went. Only the sound of your footsteps could be heard, as everything around you was ambient. There was some sort of dark haze in the hallway, for there were barely any lights, and when there were, they were dim and flickering. The darkness made it hard for you to see where you were going, luckily Alastor was there to make sure you wouldn't get lost in the darkness.

This silence was killing you. You wanted to say something, but you just couldn't. But then you heard the sound of static once more. It was quiet, but noticable enough to hear. Trying to ignore it, you kept on walking. Alastor seemed to not notice the noise; he was kind of ignoring you, though you could see him glance at you from time to time.

The noise grew more present, and far more annoying. That headache came back, and boy did it have a vengeance. It felt as if it was tearing you from the inside out, safe to say, it did not feel nice. It grew too much for you to handle, walking made it worse. You stopped in your tracks, grabbing your head out of pain.

Alastor continued to walk for a few more steps, but then he stopped. "Something bothering you, (Y/N)...?" he said with no real concern in his voice. He didn't even turn to face you. His face was mostly shrouded by the darkness, making him all the more intimidating and terrifying.

You grimaced, the pain worsening. The hall around you was closing, and the dim light was growing into a flame. It seemed as if it were coming to a climax, but then, it stopped. It just disappeared. You looked up with your tear-filled eyes, looking at the presence in front of you. Alastor was crouched down, his hand on your shoulder and the other resting on his bent leg.

For once, he didn't seem all that terrifying. He didn't even have a grin planted on his face, just a serious look. A look of somewhat expectancy, and...well you couldn't quite explain what else. He took his resting hand and used it to take out a handkerchief, suited in his pocket. He gently handed it to you, as you then took it.

Wiping away your tears, you stood back up, as did he. No words were ushered between you two, just friendly gestures and silent thank yous. The both of you continued to walk down the hall, finally making it to your rooms. He bowed, as he then took his leave, but before he could do that you handed him his handkerchief.

He didn't take it, and instead gestured that you keep it. For what purpose? You don't really know, but all that you knew was that he wasn't all that bad. Maybe people should try and get to know him better before they judge. You unlocked your door and went into your room. It was quite a lovely little room, cozy too. A nice little living room section was on the right, it had a little couch, mini fridge, and everything.

On the left was what you guessed was your bed. It was small, but hey, you've slept on worse things in your life. Well, previous life...You went over to your bed, and settled down. Snuggling up to keep warm, you held that tan handkerchief. It had the name Alastor written on the bottom right corner of it. Deciding to hug it, you remembered one huge detail that slipped past your mind. Remarkable that you didn't pay more attention to it, considering how much of a big deal it should be to a dead person.

"I was murdered...but..why? By who?" you wondered aloud. "I guess I shouldn't worry, after all, I'm dead, so I guess it won't matter anyhow..." Sighing, you listened to the ambiance, with occasional honks and yells made by the people below, out in the streets. You could feel your eyelids getting heavier, and your heartbeat calming down.

Hugging the handkerchief one last time, you drifted off into sleep.

A/N- Thanks for sticking around, I've been having some difficulties getting this out because: 1. I rewrote it, since I wasn't entirely happy with the original product. And 2. Because some thing have been going on with me and I don't necessarily want to discuss it but just know that updates may be scattered a bout so please be patient with me and I'll try my best to keep you all pleased!
Love!~
