The Truth

It had been several days, since the sparring match between Van and Cervato had been interrupted by Zarek. What had just started off as a typical training excursion, evolved into a stubborn match utilizing corn stalks from the nearby cornfield they ended up rolling around in. Neither soldier had any intentions of backing down. Cervato finally had gained an upper hand, moving to kick Van while he was down, and then he captured her, throwing her over his shoulder and handed her back to Zarek like she was some disobedient child.

This infuriated her.

"You're just going to walk away!? You fucking coward!" She called after him, being held back by her husband. Zarek tried. He really did. Trying to soothe her. But she had had enough.

"Why did you fucking stop us!? We were just sparring." She shouted in his face, Kari and a few livestock bearing witness to the anger she was unleashing upon him. She hadn't even given him any time to reply, storming off.

She didn't go home that night. She didn't come home for several nights. Cervato arrived to work on time, bruises on her face, but once her shift was over she was quick to make her escape.

There was so much that needed to be discussed. The truth. How she felt. She'd been staying at the Ossan Tavern, but her coin on hand was running out and she wasn't about to start taking funds from their shared bank account. She met several faces across those days. Ti'lay, whom had been staying with them found her. Atreyu came next. She found herself visiting Deronjur and his dearheart Caolan for the day. They had even given her a beautifully hand crafted shield, a decoration for their home. She'd asked Ti'lay and Atreyu to spar with her, at the Kormir Amphitheater. To keep her mind off things. She needed to get the anger our of her heart. However, even the damn Seraph seemed to want to meddle in her affairs as they informed them they were not permitted to spar there. This once again set Cervato off, and they moved on to Lion's Arch. Ti'lay had shown them where old training rings had been set up in the sand. The trio fought once more. And it was fun. It brought back all the fun times she used to share with her friends.

The past couple of days she hadn't felt very well though, and as they had finished grabbing a bite to eat at the Tiki Bar & Restaurant, she felt pain. Ti'lay had taken them to the old "cursed" house in Ebonhawke, allowing Cervato to rest. The doctor had stated it was merely a passing stomach bug, nothing more.

When she awoke, she told them. Told them she needed to go home. Told them she needed to talk to her husband.

They would not hear from her for three days.

The fourth day, they began searching, and found her back in the old dusty home.
