I found myself in a field of flowers, colors of red, yellow, white, and purple. The wind blew soft, and slow, the flowers danced with it. The sun was blinding, but its rays felt good on my cold skin. This moment felt so really, until I notice the flowers wilting into dust, and the wind blowing harder, almost knocking me onto the ground. The sun was now blocked by clouds, storm clouds. I spun around, watching the scene play out in front of me.
That's when I heard a noise. I went for my sword, but it wasn't on me, nor was my armer. I was left vulnerable for what was coming. I did the only this left to do, I ran. I ran as fast as I could manage, but whatever was after me, seemed to be faster.
“What do I have left to do,” I thought, looking at my surroundings,”there has to be something…”
Then it hit me, I needed to outsmart it. I ducked and waved. I took twisted turns, ran in circles, jumped into rushing waters, but nothing worked. I could still hear it behind me.
“Why can't I lose it!” I wondered.
Sense of smell, that's why I can't lose it. The creature follows my sent.
“How am I going to mask my sent without anything to use. I can't stop and use mud or something because it's right behind me.” I pondered, nothing came to mind.
“Ah,” I yelled out, falling onto the ground,”ow.”
A low grumble found its way to my ear. I could feel it's cold breath on my skin. The creature picked me up by my head.
“Mph!”
I kicked, hit, and even bit its hand a couple of times, but the creature never let me go. I struggled, but it didn't phase the creature, didn't phase it at all.
“Is this the end for me?” I wondered.
This is the second time I have put myself in harms way. I can't believe I made the same mistake twice. What kind of captain am I? I could feel the creature put pressure on my head, the pain that came with it was unbearable, I let out a scream of agony. I felt it dig its claws into my skin, as the crimson blood trickled down my face. The creature dragged me by my head. All I could do was hope and pray it would get bored with me and leave me.
“Maybe if I act dead, I could get the creature to leave me alone .” I thought.
I stopped moving complete, holding my breath. The creature seemed to notice my absent moving. It held me up, sniffing me, suddenly my body was tossed at a tree. I could hear the creature running toward me, full speed. It must really want to make sure I’m dead.
“Shoot, what do I do now?” I was in full panic mode.
I heard a low growl, and it puffed, kind of sounded like a bull. I dont crack and eye open. I make no movement. I stay completely still. The creature grabbed my head and and moved it left to right, studying me. It sniffed as it done this, it even licked me on my right side of my neck. I could understand why it did this.
“Stand up.”
A voice said.
“Stand up human, I will not repeat myself,” it paused, “I know your not dead, and you supposed to be the dominant species on Earth.”
I open my eyes, to my amazement, the creature was standing up.
“Are you talking to me?”
It answers in a low rumble, but I heard its answer in my mind. It was speaking telepathically with me.
“I could be…”
I couldn't believe it, the creature was really talking to me. I felt my heart sink down into my stomach, my heart starting racing. How smart are theses creature? If they found a way to communicate with us, what else could they do? The creature growled, apparently not liking the silents.
“Talk!”
I found myself talking out loud now.
“What do you want with me? Why don’t you just kill me?”
The creature stood there for a moment.
“Good question.”
The creature grabbed my head again, digging its claws into the same holes it made earlier, but it dug deeper into my head. It lifted me up, causing a fire to run through my body. I yell out in pain. This seemed to enlighten the creature more, it took its other hand and dug its claws into my into my waist. I really shouldn't have open my mouth.
“Do you still want me to kill you, because you know I would love to do so. Your human screams is music to me.”
It let out a low grumble, and suddenly I was thrown up into the air, harshly landing on the ground. I heard a crack and a pain shoot up my leg. I looked down and the bone seemed to break out of the skin barrier. The creature notice my broken leg and latched ahold of it. I let out a scream. The creature let go and came face to face with me. I looked it in the eye, trying not to show any sign of fear. I laid there helplessly hoping it couldn’t see my bluff, because if it did I know I would die here today.
