(What the creatures look like, is the picture above)
Bodies clash together, blood flowing like a river that seemed to never end. My sword came into contact with another one of those bloody creatures, right through the bearer of skin, the Creature screech and more came running out, I dug my sword deeper into the creature , as my teammates are attacking the new found creatures, this cowardly monster thought calling more of its kind would help save itself. I drew my sword out of the fallen body, watching as it jerked and twitched until it was nonliving, all life had left, going to where all creatures souls go, down into an endless flame.
I look over to see if anyone was dead, but everyone was still moving, still breathing, alive. I held up my sword, blood dripping off, falling to the ground, that once grew life and took the stomping of every child's feet, taking them on an adventure in their mind.
I yell a victorious scream, the others mimic me, holding their blades in the air. “Another victory for mankind,” I pause and sucker a breath,”our ancestors would be proud!” I yell. I brought down my blade, looking at my reflection. The face looking back at me is covered in blood, the person in the reflection was no longer innocent. “Today we showed these creatures that we should not be played with, and they should take us seriously!” I yell.
I could feel my heart race, the blood in my veins burned like a fire. My bones ached with excitement, the feeling of victory danced within my heart. I was standing high and mighty. I could hear my people, my soldiers, scream in victory. I smile, for our victory, then frown. We may have won this fight, but the war is far from over.
“Head back to camp, pack you supplies, and start heading east!” I start moving, the soldiers follow close behind.
“Darcy, I- I don't..”
I ran to my soldier, he was getting sick. “Alex, are you okay now?” I ask, while rubbing circles on his back. Alex was one of my weakest soldiers, but was strong when using his brain. Alex nodded and stood up, took a step, and stumble with shaking legs.
“Al-”
he fell before I could ask my question. I got down to face level with him and felt his forehead, hot. His skin was hot, fever. Alex was sick with a fever. “Thompson, carrie Alex to camp and put your scarf over you mouth!” I yelled, Thompson was one of my strongest soldiers, but when it came to strategy, he was at a loss.
Thompson came over and pick Alex up with ease. “We need to move fast, dark is upon us!” I yell to inform my soldiers. We move quick, only taking a break if a break was needed. After some time, my soldier and I deem a spot by a stream, fit for camp.
Tomorrow, we start our journey to dead man's land.
