Coffee and Comforts

(A/N) Guys....Where do I start? I'm so sorry for not updating things have been pretty rough lately..I've been struggling with my ED and have had no want or energy put into writing. However i'm so incredibly grateful for all the support and I can't thank you guys enough once again i'm super sorry and I will try my best to update more. Anyway enough with my life! Onward!

3rd person POV. 

After quite sometime of being in the underground facility things had cleared up enough for them to move back to the tower, so that was good...

On the other hand things had been awkward lately between the redhead and the soldier, they hadn't spoken about what happened that night.   

Wanda was so sure that her dream meant something. It had to!  She hated that she was so vulnerable to Bucky.

 She was not used to being like that...with anyone much less a man she barely met! How could she say those words to him? Worst of all he didn't say it out loud. Maybe he didn't mean it. or maybe he was thinking of someone else.

Her mind swirled with thoughts as she used her hex to spin a spoon and stirred her cup of coffee. The creamer changing the black liquids appearance kinda looked like her mind right now. An awful mix of thoughts spinning in the cup of her mind. So much so she didn't notice the patriotic soldier that had walked in the kitchen. 

He immediately noted her glazed state. And decided against calling her out. instead he gently placed his hand on her shoulder. Startling so much so that next thing he knew he was flesh against the ceiling. He instantly regretted not calling her by her name instead. 

"WANDA." 

Once again startled by what she had just done to the poor man she let him go his body immediately falling on the floor like a sack of potatoes. 

"STEVE i'm so sorry I though you were some bad guy of som-!" she started rambling

"Hey! hey.. it's okay it's my fault I should've said your name instead." Capsicle stated.

"Anyway, I needed to tell you something important" 

"Fire away Steve."

"Well...I've kinda noticed you haven't been on a mission lately since well...Before we fled the tower, so I decided to set you up to something" 

"Go on"

Steve was no idiot. He knew his best friend, and albeit not having known the witch a long time she had opened up to him enough to know that something was off between them. He noticed as they avoided contact, made only small talk and nothing more. The awkwardness was killing him. Especially since after the incident at the tower...Wanda, Bucky, and himself shared the 6th floor. He couldn't stand it anymore so he'd have to do something about it. 

"Your mission is to go work at a coffee shop in Europe, I believe that Hydra is hiding something since that place is usually filled with Hydra related attacks and it's been too quiet lately. I just want you to work there and listen for info. Partially obviously i'd want you to look around city for suspic-" 

"I can do that! Piece of cake! Anyway it's about time I got off my ass." She interrupted.

"Great! I'll get you and Bucky on a plane as fast as I can!" 

"WHAT?!"

"Oh yea! Forgot to mention you two are going together acting as best friends! Just in case either of you get compromised." 

She couldn't say no...she had already agreed to it. Plus if she said no it'd look suspicious. 

So she did the next best thing and nodded. 

"Don't worry you guys don't have to act as a couple....unless you want to?"

"NO!" She interjected too loud for her liking " no.. that's fine." 

The next thing he did caught her by surprise for how out of character it was from the example man, he started chuckling doing his best impression of Bucky.

"Oh! Wanda sweetheart! Sugar pie will you make me a cup of coffee?" he could help but giggle like a schoolgirl and what he'd just said. 

"HaHa. Very funny. He's a comedian ladies and gentlemen! And Sugar pie? That's so cringy and outdated! Even for you, You Good-Old Fashioned Lover Boy" ({A/N} See what I did there;) )

They both soon started giggling, If only they knew they'd become such close friends.
