"He's such a good kid! I'm very proud of him!" his mother happily said to her friends, who had come over to chat and drink tea.
"He wants to become a judge!"

"Wow! My son is already causing problems at school, and his grades. . ."
"— my daughter is really bad at maths."
"My son too!"

Noël more or less had to listen to all those ladies talk about him. His mother, always so proud of him.
He used to love all the attention, but now he kind of regretted trying to do well.
Because now he had to do all sorts of things he didn't like. More difficult things than others. Just because he was better than them.
He didn't understand.

15 years old

He was still as much of a miracle kid as ever.
The youngest ever to pass exams to enter a special university.
He already studied lawyers and the likes, and only became better every day.

16 years old

Today marked the day he officially became a judge of the court.
Months passed, he was doing well. He was honest, and worked with the evidence and testimonies presented to him.

But then, one day— a large sum of money was offered to him. As long as he pledged a corrupt politician innocent.
Noël found his life was pretty boring.
He was tempted.
So tempted, that he accepted it.
Only this once.

But then it happened again.
And again.
And again.
Until he enjoyed it so much. . . that he couldn't turn back.

He would mentally laugh at the family of victims.
He was drowning in money. He had everything he ever wished for.

"Breaking news! A young judge has been sent to jail when police discovered hidden documents about past trials. The judge in question has been found guilty of multiple corrupt trials, and has been taking money from companies and individuals to pledge certain people guilty or innocent. If the allegations are true, this man will be serving a maximal jail sentence of 25 years."
