18 months later.

"G'night momma" Stella giggled laying back in her bed. "Sleep well my love" I said softly pushing her curls behind her ears.

I left her bedroom closing the door half way and grabbed the clean pyjamas from my closet. "I was hoping I'd get a preview" I smirked turning around.

"Well baby I wouldn't wanna ruin that surprise for you" I wrapped my arms around his torso "The things you do to me Evelyn Rose" I rolled my eyes reaching up to kiss his cheek.

"I've missed you" I mumbled hugging him tight "you too Eva" he began and I simply nodded.

"Now how about you show daddy what's he been missing" I bit my lip and pushed him onto the bed. I never understood the whole daddy kink. It just didn't turn me on but maybe if I keep working on pleasing him he won't leave.

"You know, I really think we need to have the talk" he breathed pulling his underwear back up. "Goodnight baby" I avoided the topic completely planting a soft kiss to his cheek.

"Good night Eva" he sighed placing an arm over me. I rolled over to face him and entangled my arms around him hugging him close. "I'm not going anywhere" he responded holding me. I fought back tears and fell fast asleep.

The next morning rolled around quickly. It's as if I don't get enough time anymore. I woke up before Stell this morning giving me time to prepare breakfast, do the laundry and get ready for work. "Damn you're a lazy bones this morning S" I chuckled going into her room.

"But momma I just wanna sleep" she pouted rubbing her eyes. Things got much better when Jack, Nate and Jack started helping out. I managed to get a job, a lot I can do from home which is ideal considering I have Stella to raise.

Sam's mom has become a huge part of our lives and has Stella on Friday night's which she adores and I get a night to myself. Johnson still comes over to see Stella now and then so does Nathan but Gilinsky is the main male role in her life.

"Good morning beautiful girls" he slipped behind me kissing my cheek and ruffling Stella's hair. "Morning Jacky" she beamed reaching over to him. I liked that they were close, I never used to but she needs the stability and the extra caregiver.

"You slept in momma's bed" she said placing her hands on his well structured face he looked at me awkwardly "come on stell you gotta get ready for day care let momma do your hair" I said taking her from him and going into the bathroom.

Jack and I weren't a couple. We just slept together sometimes and raised my kid. But he tries to make us a thing I'm just not ready.

After delicately tying her hair into bunches she toddled off to play before we had to leave. "She's getting curious Eva" he said to me "Jack you're not ready for this" I sighed shoving the dishes in the dish washer.

"We've been playing happy families for long enough, why won't you just accept me?" He asked I remained silent. He rolled his dark eyes and headed to the door.

"No" I called "I love you Jack Gilinsky, I do I really do but I don't wanna get hurt again" I admitted he half smiled again and walked back over. "I love you too" replied hugging me.

"Nothing's gonna change Eva" he promised me placing a kiss on my temple. "Come on Stell it's time to go" I interlocked my hand in jacks as we walked to the day care with Stella skipping in front.

"Have fun princess Jacky will pick you up later okay?" I said kissing her head she nodded and joined the rest of the kids.
"She's such a sweet girl" he sighed as we walked back home. "She is, she reminds me too much of him." I said remembering her father.

Not another word was spoken after that until we got home. The peaceful silence was nice and as if like a flick of a switch my mood plummeted.

I missed him. I missed him so fucking much. I curled up on the couch and scrolled through our last conversation. "Fucking asshole" I sniffled and deleted every trace of every memory from my phone.

I was with Jack now and soon enough my feelings for him will come.
"Babe, what's wrong?" Jack asked sitting beside me.
"I'm just not feeling good today" I lied he furrowed is brows and pulled me into his lap.
"Awh baby" he cooed, kissing my head.

It wasn't the same as Sammy, if anything it was opposite I felt safe with Sam, with jack I just felt awkward.
"Eva, look at me" he tilted my head towards him I looked away quickly.

"I just wanna sleep" I answered laying my head remembering how it used to be.

"You coming over tonight?" He asked twirling his hand with mine "only if you want me" I grinned leaning in to kiss him "of course" he half smiled kissing me back. "Oh Sammy I love you" I happily sighed walking with him.

"Hello" his parents chimed "Hey" I smiled back and followed him up to his room. I did my usual sliding off my shoes and placing them under the bed and leaving my bag in the corner before getting comfy under the duvet.

"You're so damn adorable" he giggled climbing in beside me kissing my cheek. "Seriously Evelyn I think you're the one" he said making my heart skip. "I love you" He said twirling my hair in his fingers.

"I love you more mi amor" I replied cuddling closer.
