(AN: Before I start this chapter I would like to inform you that there is a little bit of violence. It's nothing horrible. No one is getting killed. It's just small, but if you don't like violece at all skip to the very end and I'll do a short summary skipping the violence. Thanks!)
*Natsu's POV*
I woke up earlier than usual. It was a Saturday morning and with Friday night football games it's easy to sleep in on Saturday. I played hard even if I left early to help Lucy. 'Lucy'. It seems like I haven't seen her in months. Was it really just yesterday? Maybe I should visit her today, but she said she has laundry to do and she'll probably be there all day. This is considering she has a whole weeks worth of laundry to do. I finally get out of bed and find Happy sleeping on the couch. I put food in his bowl and make myself a bowl of cereal. I only have fruit loops? Guess I have to get out anyway because I've got to get food. I'll probably stop and visit her then. I know we're not like best friends, but we did used to be friends until we just lost communication. I guess I better get dressed. I go get dressed, grab my keys and open the door.
"Happy, I'm heading out for today. I'll be home later!"*Lucy's POV*
I woke up from my 6:30 alarm. Time to get up and go do laundry. I always try to motivate myself. It mostly never works. I start bustling around my room, getting ready and finding everything I need washed. Which is everything because I literally own enough clothes to survive a week. I go downstairs, hoping father is still sleeping, to find the clothes he needs washed. Unfortunately, he was wide awake and very angry.
"Lucy," he said so coldly shivers went down my spine, "where were you last night?"
"I went to the football game with Levy," I said quietly.
"But you were gone longer than that? I didn't hear you come in last night. It must have been late," he said his gaze still on the TV.
"I got hit with the ball so Natsu took me to the infirmary right down the road," I explained.
"Natsu?" He question,"Is that perhaps a boy's name?"
"Yes," I gulped as he stood up and walked over to me.
He got so close I had to back up into the wall."What have I told you time and time again, Lucy?" He asked.
I stayed quiet, in fear of what he might do if I said something wrong. "I've told you that the only reason you're still here with me is because when you come of age you will marry my business partners son. I will gain more money and YOU WILL NO LONGER BE MY PROBLEM!" he yelled in my face.
"If I'm such a big burden why didn't you get rid of me yet?" I spoke without thinking.
"What did you just say to me?" He asked.
I looked at my shoes as my hands started to shake. I knew something bad was next. What? I didn't know. It's different everytime I disobey. He slapped me but it's not like I want expecting it. My cheek had a red hand print across it. It stung so bad that a few tears fell from my eyes.
"The point being no messing around with ANY boys or you will be punished. And wipe your tears. You are ugly when you cry," he said and stood back.
