Next week, In school, I just sat alone by lunch and in class. Liam hanged out alot with Mason and I think it was good if he did. I liked being alone and I knew that Liams friends had an eye on Jamie so I could just controll on being myself.
"Are you okay?" Mason say in the corridor when Liam isn't around.
"I know you and Liam had something. But are you sure you don't wanna join me to him tonight. We gonna play videogames and what I've seen of you this week. I think you would like it." Mason say and smile.
"Thank you Mason. But I just need to stay away from him for a while. Just promice me that you will be a good friend to him. I think he need one right now." I say and give him a smile before I leave for class.
Liam really needed Mason now. I knew Liam was afraid and alone. And nobody could be a better friend than Mason.
"Georgiana!" Someone shout as I walk home from school one day.
I see someone I recognice. Brett? The boy from Liams old school.
"Hey. Brett? What are you doing here?" I say as he runs up to me.
"We are gonna have a big game on the day after tomorrow. And I was just here to check everything out." he say and smile.
I guess I didn't have to hate him. Liam hadn't told me so much about his old school or friends. So why should I be mad at him now?
"So? Are you hungry?" he say and I look around to make sure Liam or Mason wasn't around.
"Yeah?" I say slowly when I don't see them.
"You wanna join me?" he say and point at the direction in to town.
"Why not?" I say and smile.
He did seam nice. It couldn't hurt to get a friend.
"So you are coming to the game, right?" he say as we walk side by side.
"I didn't plan to." I say and bite my lip. I knew Liam and all of the juniors would be there.
"It is gonna be a great game." he say and look down on me and smile.
"Yes I think so too. But not as bad as the last, I hope." I say and remeber all the crashes and people dissapearing.
"No maybe not like that. That was different." he say and we both laugh.
"So how are Liam these days?" he say and keep the eyes were n the road.
"I don't really know. Havn't spoken to him for almost a week now." I say and he look back at me.
"Really? I thought you were like best friends." he say and I just shake my head.
"Maybe we were. But we both knew we wasn't really good friends." I say trying to say something good that wouldn't sound to silly.
"Well I hope he is fine." he say and I was actually chocked. Weren't they like enemies?
We reach a restaurant and walk inside. i was still carrying my books.
We sat down by a small table and looked at the meny.
Good that dad worked tonight. Then I didn't worry about missing the dinner he would cook.
"I know this might seam a little strange considering what happened to me and Liam before. But I don't wanna fight him. He should be happy. He is having it great here. I wish I had friends like he has." he say as we have ordered.
"Really?" I say and look at him.
"Yes. He is a great guy." he say and smile.
Was this really the guy we met earlier this semester? The one who Liam wanted to crush and Brett seamed to just laugh at it then.
