Have you ever thought about how weird death is?
When a person dies we take out the things that made them humans, the organs, their heart.
We put them in a big box in a room, make them the center of attention by dressing them in dress clothes that they didn't even wear often and surround them with flowers, and not even the beautiful kind, but rather the sad, erie kind. I like to call them funeral flowers.
We sit in the room and stare at the body while some man who didn't even know them preaches or says something about how heaven welcomes them with open arms when we know damn well that person wouldn't go to heaven if there was one.
Maybe they do that to help you feel better, but my opinion it does the opposite. You sit there for over an hour, staring at the dead body that isn't even really them anymore in that hideous box called a casket, while you listen to lies. I don't blame people for crying at funerals.
I think humans are so very weird.
Funerals are weird.
Dying is weird.
