Sasuke stared at the hand stretched out in front of him as if it was some sort of weapon. He then looked at Sakura who was smiling at him.
She was actually nice, he noted.
So he grasped her soft hand in his hand and shook it.
"My name is Sasuke Uchiha" As he introduced himself, Sakura beamed at him.
They took their hands back and Sakura asked: "May I sit next to you?"
At her politeness, Sasuke could only nod as he was too shy and afraid to speak. Sakura took the gesture in and pulled the chair out and sat on it and sat her school bag down on the floor next to her table.
"It's nice to meet you Sasuke!" Sakura said looking at Sasuke.
Sasuke noticed that she used his first name without a suffix.
"Sasuke?" He asked shyly.
Sakura only grinned in response but after looking at his nervous response she let out a sigh, "Well, it's okay if you don't want me to call you that," She said.
"No it's alright" Sasuke widened his eyes and shook his hands in front of his face.
"Sasuke it is then," Sakura replied. Sasuke thought for a second and asked.
"Umm. . . can I call you Sakura then?
"Sure!" Sakura looked at Sasuke's tomato-red face as he blushed and smiled at him.
"S-Sakura!?" Sasuke breathed out nervously and Sakura only nodded her head profusely.
At her excitement, Sasuke could only smile at her.
After the class saw their exchange, a blonde girl with baby blue eyes and an indigo-haired girl with lavender eyes along with another girl with brown hair tied in two buns walked up to Sakura.
"Hi! I'm Ino Yamanaka!" Introduced the blond named 'Ino' and then she pointed her finger to the other two girls standing beside her, "The girl with buns is Tenten Kunai and she is Hinata Hyuuga."
"It's nice to meet you Yamanaka-san, Hyuuga-san, and Kunai-san," The other two girls smiled at Sakura and Sakura smiled back.
"There's no need to be so formal," Hinata said politely and Tenten added, "Yeah, it makes us feel old!"
"Call us Ino, Hinata and Tenten," the blond girl replied as her eye shined brightly.
"You can call Ino a pig though!" Tenten grinned mischievously.
"Tenten!" Ino shrieked out as slapped the other girl's arm playfully while the hit girl stuck out her tongue as she rubbed her arm which was red due to the hit.
"You're making a bad impression girls," Hinata said looking at Sakura who was giggling and had an amused face while the other girls muttered out in unison, "Sorry,"
"Would you like to meet the others?" Tenten asked.
Sakura looked at Sasuke thinking that he will feel lonely but Sasuke just nodded at her saying that it was okay.
"Yes," Seeing this, Sakura replied and let the three girls drag her to the others as Tenten referred to.
Sasuke looked at Sakura and sighed. He just got a new friend who was his only friend in the whole school not to mention a girl. Well, he was a loser and a nerd so no one wanted to be his friend. To be honest he was expecting her to mix with the 'Konoha royalty' and join them. Then she would also end up bullying him like the others.
Oh, how wrong he was.
As Sakura let the girls drag her to the other side of the room, she saw the blonde boy again who flirted with her in the morning. She saw others too. There was the girl with glasses who she insulted earlier. Well, she didn't feel any guilt as she deserved it.
She saw a guy with pineapple hair who was lazily looking at them while yawning. A brunette with silky long hair with the same pale lavender eyes as Hinata she remarked. A guy who looked like Sasuke except that his skin looked as pale as paper.
"Trouble-some the names Shikamaru Nara" introduced the pineapple-haired boy while he got scolded by Ino for the troublesome introduction.
"Hello, Haruno-san, I'm Neji Hyuuga" the brunette with long hair.
'What kind of shampoo does he use? ' Thought Sakura as he saw how shiny and smooth his long hair was looking.
"He's my cousin," Hinata said looking at Sakura who was looking back and forth between her and Neji.
Sakura nodded her head at Neji.
"I'm Sai Yamamoto" Sai replied with a fake smile as he looked at the new girl who became popular within the first few minutes of her arrival.
"Karin Uzumaki," Karin said while she pushed her glasses up and envied the girl in front of her.
"The name's Naruto Uzumaki sweetheart," Naruto purred out, his eyes slightly narrowed to give him a more seductive look.
At that moment she decided she hated Naruto Uzumaki.
