Ugh, Day One of Year 8. I can sense this year is gonna be interesting. This is where I started keeping my diary to write out random stuff. Term One was quite interesting. Sophie and Devon broke up on their anniversary, AKA my birthday. Devon tried asking out my friend, Alice. He got rejected. Then, he asked me. I said no, but then he asked again and I thought to give him a chance...

Our relationship started off well. I got to know him better, he got to know me better. I began getting comfortable around him and I was comfortable in telling him anything. Same story with him. We had a few ups and downs but we always ended it on a funny note.

One day we had a cultural festival hosted at our school. That's when I realized. I saw him hanging out with other girls, he looked much more happier. I felt like crying because I thought I wasn't good enough for him. While we were performing, I saw him sitting at the top of the grass bank. He wasn't that happy anymore and he wasn't even looking at the performance though he promised me he would. I ignored him after school and walked straight home. I didn't even wait for him. He eventually caught up to me while I was nearly home and he tried talking. My eyes were welling up with tears so I didn't say a word. I just kept walking. I ignored his messages. And in front of me was my pencil sharpener. I slowly unscrewed the blade and made a cut on my arm. It didn't hurt a bit because I was already upset. I told my friend Cortnee (Well, she was my friend at that time) and Cortnee told Devon. He got so mad and wanted to make sure I was alright. I told him why I did that. He wasn't impressed and he told me he loved only me. I was assured. On one hand, I was happy and my other hand was dripping with blood...
