In these five years Ming Chong had not forgotten for even a second the humiliation he suffered that night.

That image was imprinted in his heart. Every time he thought about it, jealousy and hate would spread through his heart like poison. He had once loved his person so deeply that he only wished to hold him in the palm of his hand or kneel down at his feet. But what about him?

He had lied to him, and gone on a date with his ex-lover.

Ming Chong originally had tried to trust Ye Ming. He had followed him secretly, lying to himself that his motivation was to prove that there was nothing between Ye Ming and Wang Heng… it was probably only an ordinary meeting between friends. It was him that thought too much. However reality slapped him harshly across the face.

He had seen those two people kissing with his own eyes. In that moment the betrayal made him see red. He wanted to rush forward to separate them. No one could touch what was his!

But… Wang Heng’s bodyguards had restrained him. All his anger, impulsiveness and even his pride was trampled down until there was nothing left.

He didn’t even have the ability to reach them, he was like a pitiful worm that was kicked into a dark corner, he could only watch with his own eyes as the person he loved was with another man, and couldn’t even get close…. Ye Ming finally came home but his whole body smelt of alcohol. There was an obvious kiss mark on his neck. But he behaved as though nothing had happened and said to him nonchalantly, “Why aren’t you sleeping? I told you not to wait for me.”

Ming Chong would never forget that on that day he has asked Ye Ming coldly where he had been but Ye Ming had lied to him, saying that he was with a client discussing business.

His sanity had finally snapped. He had rushed over to Ye Ming and unveiled that he knew everything!

He thought that this would make Ye Ming guilty, make him feel sorry, make Ye Ming frightened to betray him again in the future, but what was the result?

The result of him barring his heart was that in the end not even a sliver of hope was left.

He didn’t receive the sincere apology, the guilt, the anxiousness that he expected. Instead he only received Ye Ming’s irritated question, “Did you follow me?”

After that was the words he would never forget. Who do you think you are? What right do you have to meddle in my affairs? I was only playing with you, that’s all.

The last veil was lifted, exposing the cruel and ugly truth.

When Ming Chong left his home he was like a kicked and abandoned dog, he didn’t have a ounce of self respect left. His love had been thrown onto the ground by the other person and trampled upon.

If you never loved me then why didn’t you say you did?

If you didn’t then I wouldn’t have fallen in love with you. I wouldn’t have been fooled by your fake gentleness. I wouldn’t have given you my heart.
