"red or nude?"

"blue."

"RED or NUDE?"

"blue!"

"there's no way in west co i'm wearing a blue lipstick!"

"oh — oh. i thought you meant the shirt." tahani had a slight grimace on her face, shooting a peace sign in bailey's direction. "what do you think, kayc? red one or nude?"

it was a whole two hours that bailey and tahani were running around in her room, figuring out which pieces to wear and what color to go with it. kaycee couldn't be bothered — she had her outfit planned out hours before they even came over.

with a scrutinizing glance, kaycee looked the asian girl up and down. does red match white better than nude does? "red. i.. guess?"

"oooh. okay, thanks."

and the girl went back to popping open the liquid lipstick, while tahani continued fixing her curls and kaycee on her phone. two girls were excited for the party, and one was fairly decent with it — you can guess who's who.

"are you drinking tonight, kayc?" tahani sent a questioning glance her way.

oh god, no. they'd have to see hell freeze over before she'd drink any of satan's piss willingly.

"nope. definitely not. especially when all of my friends are getting messed up tonight."

"not even a sip?"

"nope."

her friends didn't really force her to drink. they just like teasing her about it, but they definitely did not want her to drink, too. kaycee was always the little angel of the group, and they want to keep it that way even in the littlest things.

even though she was growing more and more mature everyday.

i mean, have you seen her lately?

"what game do you think they'll have today?" bailey turned around in the vanity chair, holding a hair straightener. "i hated that kiss for a drink phase."

"don't you even remember the underwear swap?"

"no," bailey choked on air. "we do not talk about that, hani."

kaycee suddenly felt flustered at the memory, mentally cringing at how she and sean swapped under shorts for the rest of the night. his black boxers were comfortable, but she couldn't say the same for sean and her spandex shorts.

shaking her head at the thought, she spit out, "jenga game. they're doing a jenga game tonight."

westco parties always had a twist to them.

there was always a game — weird, or fun, or even weirder — played at every party upstairs. if you didn't want the dance floor, go upstairs. if you want to see people either get into drama or intense french kisses, go upstairs. if you want more space, go upstairs.

the upstairs is where it's at.

"kayc," bailey called her attention, popping her attention bubble with a wee bit of hesitance. "do you think s— he's going? tonight?"

the girl knew the question was coming any time soon.

every party she went to, sean was always there beside her. she wasn't comfortable in parties, especially when she wasn't the most extroverted one out there. they always had this agreement that if one them goes, then the other does, too. like two peas in a pod, like dora and boots, like butter and toast. and everyone knew that — they were inseparable, and always there for each other.
