After band practice today at Ashton's house, I was skate boarding home when I got a text from Calum I was replying when I ran into this girl. She had blonde hair and blue eyes just like me. She was kinda short but what do I know I am 6'0, she was really pretty though. All these thoughts raced through my mind while I was getting a shower, it's like it just kept replaying in my mind over and over again. After I get out of the shower, my mom comes home she had just went to the market for some food. I had to help her unpack all the bags.

"Thank you, Lucas" she said "Hey have you met the neighbors?", she added.

I turned around and answered "I bumped into the girl that lives there her name is Emma, she looked about my age".

"Don't you think it's strange we haven't met them and it's been almost a month?" She asked as if I knew why we haven't met them.

So to calm my mothers curiosity I told her "They are always busy,Mom, they are busy people. Nothing weird about people having a life, right." I found my self rambling and when I shut myself up my mother looked so confused. She put this weird smile on her face and just said "Alright thank you, Lucas".

I went upstairs to my room and locked the door behind me. For a minute I just sat on my bed wondering why the hell did I just do that? Why did I just ramble about something that didn't even mean anything? I had this really weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. So I just pick up my guitar and played a couple of songs to get my mind off of things.

About an hour passed and my Mom called me down for dinner, my brothers and dad wouldn't be home till late tonight so it was just me and my mom. She had made fish tacos, she has never made fish tacos so they weren't the best. Dinner was really awkward for some reason it was all just awkward small talk.

"How was band practice?" Mom asked breaking a moment of awkward silence.

"Good" a simple one word answer, I just wanted this dinner to be over.

Finally after I forced down my last fish taco and practically ran to my room. I was exhausted it had been a long day I needed to just go to bed. I put on some Green Day on low and waited till I could no longer hold my eyes open.
