The week was boring and played out the same. We woke up and ate then went to work. There was occasional moment where we got to make love, but she has been really into her work lately. She wants to make her dad proud and make sure the business is always thriving. We have a gathering for one of our client tonight that they are hosting. Ambreea wanted me to come so I can experience what it's like so I can do them myself.

We were going to the museum for Beonka's museum opening. It, of course, was a art museum that Ambreea loved. She used to go there and wonder the rooms and halls trying to find herself, as she put it. I was dressed in a black tux, sitting in the living room waiting for Ambreea. "Babe, we are going to be late if we don't leave soon!" I yelled out.

"I'm coming! I'm putting my shoes on now," she yelled back. Moments later, she came out in a violet dress. It was long and covered every part of her body, but it was tight so that her figure was shown. She gave me a shy smile, as if she could be embarrassed of her body.

"You look beautiful," I said as I got up and reached my hand out for hers as if she was a princess. She put her hand in mine and I kissed it gently before looking up and seeing her blush. She had make up on that outlined her features. Her lips were covered in red and her eyes popped with the dark colors she added on her lids. I wanted to take her right there, but I knew what we had to do.

"I love you," she said and I kissed her check before telling her the same. She grabbed her purse, that matched her dress, before we got in my car and left. The ride was silent except for the music playing. She seemed nervous and I couldn't tell why. This week went smooth and nothing change except for how much she was working. While driving, I saw a car following us but didn't think much of it. Everyone was coming to the grand opening of a new exhibit.

When we pulled up, I grabbed her hand in mine which made her look at me, "What's wrong?" I asked and she just gave me a sad smile.

"I used to come to these things with my dad," she said before pausing. "I just miss him so much." I could tell she was holding back the tears.

"Let's make tonight not about work, lets enjoy it for us," I said putting emphasis on 'us'. She nodded and I got out the car and went to her side to help her out. We gave the valet the keys before heading in.

Music was playing and people were talking as they wondered the museum speaking about the art. Ambreea spoke to Beonka before she went on to enjoy the art of the museum. While she was handling business, with me by her side, I just let my eyes wonder around these people. I noticed the man who had been following us in the car was here. He seemed particularly interested in Ambreea, so I made sure to keep an eye on him throughout the night. I followed as Ambreea led me through the museum and spoke about each piece. She would go into more details with her favorites, but I stayed quiet because I loved to hear her talk with passion. I excused myself and went to the bathroom to relive myself after drinking a glass of champagne.

When I came back, the man was speaking to her. He was a bald man, looked to be about James age. He's probably an old friend of his, "Lukas!" Ambreea squealed.

"This is one of my dad's old friend, Fred," she said introducing us. We shook hands and he gave me a smile.

"I'll leave you two," he said before pausing. "It was nice to see you, Ambreea." he said as if he was going to see her again.

"That was a surprise," She said with a smile and I nodded.

"What did he want," I said and she looked at me confused.

"To say hi?" she said confused and questioning for what I was implying.

"Baby, your father was into selling drugs. That's what got him killed. You can't blame me for being worried when his old 'friends' come around," I said and he face broke.

"My dad was a good man," she said as water broke to her eyes. I frowned when I realized what I had done, she was still morning the passing of her father and I made him sound like some horrible person she doesn't know. "I'm leaving," she said and I, of course, followed after her. I grabbed her wrist trying to bring her attention to me, "Don't!" she snapped. I watched as she walked away and got the car. I followed and got in to drive us home.

The ride was even more silent than before, if that was even possible. No words were exchanged and not even the music played. I could feel her hate leaving her body, but I still needed to give her safe. I stopped as the light turned red and waited. We sat and I watched her body move as she was breathing. There was a honk causing me to come back to reality. I looked forward and saw the green light, I began to drive and she just signed.

We got to our home, and walked up in silence. When I went it, I saw it was trashed. "What the hell," I said and Ambreea froze.

I looked to her and she began to cry, "I just can't get away from this." I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a hug as she cried. "I knew what he was into long before he passed, Luke. I found out at a young age and pushed it back until I didn't think of it anymore. That's why I always move, I could feel people watching me as I got older."

"Baby, why didn't you tell me?" I asked and she broke out of my hug.

"Because now that he's gone, I thought I could believe that it was all behind him. The older I got the better he got at hiding it," she said throwing her arms in the air in frustration. "It's not safe for me. It's not safe for you to be with me," she said and my heart began to ache.

"Why don't we move. Leave all of this behind us?" I asked and she sighed.

"Don't you get it, I have Luke. I always move, I'm tired of running!" She said and I paused to think.

"Why don't you stop, don't run. Let them come to you, and we will be prepared," I said and her tears stopped. She wiped her face and I stepped closer to her. "We will make them run," I said and she gave me a small smile before kissing me.

I got in touch with the agency and they helped me come up with a plan. Ambreea and I did have to move since or home was trashed. We moved to the office and had the level above us made into our home. She decided she did want to sell the company her father owned after everything was taken care of. She was ready to live her life and travel the world, like she's always wanted, but now with me. We decided that after we finish everything with the men coming for her, we will just travel and only bring the necessities we need. Our home was fully secured and booby trapped for intruders. Ambreea was working on her fighting skills and I was now her trainer. My team from the last mission all have their own section of little apartments above us in case of an emergency.
