Broken Confessions

I sat down sighing as I waited for Clarence to walk back here. I didn't think I would be back here after Clarence talked to me the way he did. He rages sometimes instead of just hearing people out.

The guard uncuffed him and he sat down signaling me to pick up the phone so I did. Our eyes met and his soften as he looked at me through the glass.

"Hi baby..."

"Hi Clarence..." I said giving off an attitude

"I deserve the energy you're giving off. I just went off with out an explanation and for that I'm sorry I just love Legend."

"And you think I don't. I was taken out of my home while pregnant and I was abused by an enemy of yours then I get home and you have Legend and I accept him with open arms."

"I love him like he is my son and I'm not gonna rest until he is back home." He sighed

"I know you care about him. My mind is just fucked up in here so for that I'm sorry. I was dead ass wrong." My nostrils flared up as he gave his apology

"If you gonna be here with me and we are in a relationship I need you to trust me or we not gonna make it." All he did was nod

"I love you Brittany." He said looking in my eyes and it was something about how he said it, I just knew in my heart that he meant every word

"I love you too..." My cheeks flushed with red

We talked further and my mind kept going back to what Sonya told me and I contemplated on wether I should speak up now or later.

Clarence went on to say how he was really losing it in here so that answered my question to just handle it myself and just hold him down. Soon the guard came and took Clarence away and my heart ached seeing him walk away.

I returned to my cell and Khalid was reading a book. Since we been in here together he has went through 3 damn books. I could tell he was smart and he didn't belong up in here.

"King?" I looked up at him raising my eyebrows

"How is that the villain always wins at the worst time?" He questioned and honestly it made me question myself and what I did with my life, I'm the villain.

"They may win the fight but hero always win the battle man. If you don't remember anything I say, remember that." He gave a slight smile and nodded his head

I took a few glances and I couldn't help but feel sorry for Khalid. When we get family visitation his mom comes up and she cries by his side and he's supporting her, mentally.

I've mentioned his case to Jay and no one has hope for him. He was "caught" red handed but I have hope and before I'm outta here, I'll do everything I can with Jay to help Khalid.

My last day of trial was tomorrow and I know things were looking in my favor. I have faith that I'll be home soon.
