Once Bitten, Twice Shy

-Chapter Six-

Viola

Nervous isn't quite an accurate description of what I'm feeling right now. Anxious, excited, curious...those are just the tips of the iceberg.

Me, Tyron, Theo and Phoenix are heading to Tyron's pack located in Savannah, Georgia...Tyron's car filled with our things, while Theo's truck is packed up with his and Phoenix's belongings. We've been driving since seven this morning, my cousin and her mate following behind us, and after stopping to eat twice and a few other times to see a few tourist attractions, we're only a few minutes away...and I'm not the only one who's excited.

Tyron's been grinning from ear to ear since we crossed the Georgia state line, no doubt he's happy to be home...not to mention bringing me with him. He's talked a lot about his pack on the drive here, parents and grandmother, his Alpha and Luna...and their pups, along with the Gamma and Delta families. From the way it sounds, he's the last one of the hierarchy to find his mate...

He's also talked about his mom and dad, Eric and Shauna...his younger sister Melody, and his Nana, a woman named Andrea. They all sound like wonderful people, I look forward to meeting them all once we arrive...

"Well, we're here Darlin'...welcome to Red Fang." He murmurs as we reach a clearing in the trees, and I stare up at the expansive pack house in admiration...it's wood paneling and large stone chimney gives it a rustic but elegant appearance...

"It's incredible Ty, you said the Alpha pair lives here?" I murmur, and he smiles and nods.

"Yeah, I figured it's best if we stop here before I show you the rest, I didn't tell the Alpha and Luna we were coming so I could surprise them. So...you might want to brace yourself for a game of twenty questions." He chuckles, and I grin despite my nervousness.

How are they going to react to me being a vampire? As far as I've heard, this pack consists mostly of werewolves with a few human mates...

"Relax love, they will love you...and I think you and Luna Katrina will hit it off very well, she understands what made you leave Paris..." He murmurs, and I look at him with surprise...she was rejected too?

He parks in front of the pack house, and so does Theo. I unbuckle my seatbelt with a sigh shortly before Tyron comes around to open my door, he holds his hand out to me and I take it, holding onto it tightly as we all walk up the steps and through the front door...my heart racing inside my chest. As I take in the inside of the house, the sound of tiny feet running across the wooden floor perks my ears, and I look to see a cute little girl with brunette curls and blue eyes come running towards us...a big smile on her face.

"Uncle Ty! You're finally back!" She calls out, and my mate's face brightens happily as he lets go of my hand and crouches down to her, giving her a giant hug as she collides into him.

"Avery! How's my favorite niece?" He chuckles as he picks her up in his arms, and she pokes him on the nose.

"Uncle Ty...I'm your only niece." She giggles, and she turns to face me and the others curiously.

"Avery, this is Viola...Viola, this is Avery, Alpha Seth and Luna Katrina's oldest pup." Tyron introduces, and I hold my hand up to her, flashing her a smile.

"It's nice to meet you Avery, Tyron's told me a lot about you." I murmur, and she stares at me for a split second before her eyes widen with excitement.

"Are you Uncle Ty's mate?" She asks as she grabs my hand with an impressive grip, and I nod.

"Yes I am, sweetie." I answer, and she immediately leans over to wrap her arms around my neck.
